But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

SUCH a Monday.

Crappy commute. Not early enough to go buy coffee. Came into my department to see/hear two managers going at each other. Boss intercommed at 9:30 and wants me to take minutes for a 10am mtg I didn't even know about. and now my eye is itching and twitchy.

Kat, you're so skinny!

Not really. Optical illusion. I still have at a minimum 10 more pounds to lose.

Jessica, I'm not sure if there is a resource that has that. Probably your gut instinct works just as well as any list I might be able to find you. I would think there might be some places of overlap (for example, stuff on the environment can be both science and social studies).

How important is it for you to have the categories be solid?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Unfortunately the system we're using to present the modules online doesn't allow tagging, so each modules can only have one label per category.

My boss was able to find a list of subjects used by educational publishers, which is what we're going with for now unless we find something better.

So sorry to hear about your loss, askye.

I am less bothered by the climbing gas prices themselves than by the fact that they've made the last convenience store in my area that let you pay after pumping stop that practice. I liked that little exhibition of trust, and thus almost always filled up there and bought snacks since I could put it all on one swipe of a credit card.

I was wondering when a Chicagoan would weigh in on what "real" Chicago pizza is.

I'm not a "real" Chicagoan, but I honestly have no idea why anyone would order thin crust anything when there's a delicious deep dish pie to be had.

Tourist pizza. Whatever. Guess that makes me a tourist.

NY style tends to taste best to me, though those stuffed spinach pies in Chicago are also great. But my Ur-pizza is the thin crust cheese slices at Little Steve's in Boston.

I would like to report that the brunch place (Big Jones) was pretty awesome. Intelligentsia coffee, v. tasty food, great service, and they gave our table four slices of free cake.

FREE CAKE.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

askye, so sorry for your loss.

I have such a huge range of clothes to choose from this morning! Laundry isn't all evil, I guess. And I even managed ironing and crude repairs.

I guess I'm a California style pizza fan. Take onions off a BBQ chicken pizza, and I'm a stone fan. I also *love* sundried tomatoes on top, and things like crab, etc. Not exactly together, but generally.
