Not that I have the slightest idea what half of it means, but still (of course, I'm picturing real leopard, that is somehow integrated with images and tools and the usual "I don't speak computerish" thingies").

Yes, you need to update all the way to 10.5.3, so you're good. I'm taking the risk of doing it now. I need to be working on the design for the new Griffith Observatory show, but I've been waiting on this update for way too long and it's holding up a bunch of other things system wise so I'm just taking the plunge.
Burrell, Zachary's is still in business. In fact, I have a piece of Zachary's stuffed mushroom-and-spinach pizza in my freezer right now. Maybe I'll eat it for dinner tomorrow.
