Wow, that was local! No storm in Brooklyn.
It did hit in Park Slope, or right on top of Brooklyn Fish Camp-- and I mean, right on top. The thunder and lightning were nearly simultaneous.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Do we love or hate this dress: [link] ? Buy or not?
I like it, but I fear the color would be difficult. Are you certain it's a good color for you? It's a hard color for most people. But if you know it's good on you, then I think it's a great dress.
And thus endeth the run of Day Break. ::sniff:: Intriguing, too.
I have to do the litter box and take out the garbage. This all sounds really really unpleasant. Plus my legs feel funny. Dance class was hard. Can't I just tell the garbage peeps to come back Tuesday? I am much too tired for chores today.
Very cool Discovery Channel series starts tonight - When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions.
I have been looking forward to this for weeks. We're taping the whole series for Isaac. I'm watching it right now, he's gonna love it!
Kat I think it's a very cute dress, I love the back pleats.
Today was Franny's godsister's birthday party. Tons of wading pools, wet splashing kids, it was a lot of fun. And we stayed for dinner (our usual MO). Kids will be tired tomorrow.
> at Pinocchio's along with Ingrid Bergman.
Probably Finnochio's here in the City.
Yep, I misheard an "F" as a "P". I googled before I posted and wondered why I did not find it. Not that Pinocchio's would be a bad name for a drag club.
Watching When We Left Earth and now I want to walk in space.
Hil, remember how I said Shavuot is a lovely time to come here?
... scratch that. I just saw and remembered another "lovely" costume children has here: throw eggs and shooting water out of water rifles on each other (though mostly water).
Thank God I didn't stay in my junior high school to high school and ran away to another, where it was (in junior high) a symbolic water splash once in a while. I had no idea this became a habit.
Kids. Deprive first, ask questions later.
Jesse, try and catch the repeat of tonight's L&O:CI ep (Purgatory).
Ooh, thanks! If it's not on my DVR now, I'm sure it will be soon!
Also, WTF -- it's apparently already 87 degrees out. And other New Yorkers, was there a ton of lightning last night? I went to bed early, so I wasn't entirely sure what was going on.
