Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the catalog choice info. I slacked a bit from entering, so I'm not sure how much of an impact it had had. But it's a nice user-friendly site, so it was easy to see who I'd requested no more from but was still receiving (Anthropologie), or who had refused to acknowledge (Newport News, AB Lambdin) so I could call and do it myself (Newport News on the weekend). They make it very easy.

I could only get my actual credit cards to stop sending me those freaking checks every two weeks.

No shit. They're the reason I shred. What with dumpster divers and all.

I fell asleep in front of the TV last night, and it's weird--the end of the sports wakes me up almost every time. I wonder if they do some sort of volume shift. My TiVo recording was set to go on an extra hour, so it kept playing--went on into a sitcom, or something, butt I was bolt upright before it could even start.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It is Hot As Fuck in NYC today. Dylan is coping with this by being a cranky little pill and napping for WAY TOO LONG and making Mommy and Daddy miss out on the Big Apple BBQ because we're still waiting for him to wake up.

C'mon, little guy! Wake up so your parents can go gorge themselves on charred pork products!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Dammit. I missed all but the last 5 minutes of Clinton's speech - the bit I saw was very moving. Off to dig up video.

Now if I could only get my actual credit cards to stop sending me those freaking checks every two weeks.

Seriously!! I get those all the time from my credit card company. I worry that one of these days they'll get accidentally given to the wrong mailbox and whoops! Ay.

I slept in way later than I have usually been managing to do. I'm kind of excited by that. I only woke up because a friend called me. But I'm too lazy to go get food or coffee yet...

MSNBC is going to show the entirety of Sen. Clinton's speech at 4 pm Eastern. And they have been showing excerpts on and off throughout the afternoon.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The speech is up on MSNBC.com. It's about 1/2 hour long.

Dwayne Johnson and director Peter Segal will screen clips, answer questions, and discuss making the movie. June 7, 7:00 p.m

This is an interesting way to promote a movie. Goes way beyond simple product placement.

Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway will appear in a SoHo store (June 18) and Masi Oka and Nate Torrence in a San Fran store (June 25).
