You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I've always hated Lakers fans.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

You guys, there's a British version of American Gladiators (just called Gladiators).

And Australia: [link]

Our gladiators: Hunter, Kouta, Nomad, Outlaw, Scar, Tank, Thunder, Amazon, Angel, Bionica, Destiny, Nitra, Olympia and Viper.

My favourite quote: "You'll know you've been marked when you've been marked by Kouta." Ooookay.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Bionica? I might have to abandon "Ruckus". Does the name come with a bionic arm?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

OTOH, if "Ruckus" is pronounced like the scary old dude in The Boondocks, who insists it's "Roo-Koo"? Comedy Gold, I tells ya.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Australian Gladiators sound scary!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Nomad? Doesn't sound terribly threatening.

OK, maybe not Nomad. If you wait in one place, he'll eventually go away!

Yeah, somehow "He'll WANDER ALL OVER YOU" just fails to convey the proper scariness.

Sadly, just a bionic spleen. But props for effort.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just turned on the basketball (GO CELTS), and am reminded that in a meeting yesterday, a coworker said she had never heard of Dr. J. We were all like, "?!?!?" Julius Erving, nothing. Kids these days!
