Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

No bacon in my fudge, please. (I just don't like the taste of bacon)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got some mosquito bites yesterday! Probably when I was sleeping with my legs bare.

Earliest I can remember getting bit....

I love bacon and fudge, but I am dubious about those flavors in combination.

IOfoodN: Last night at the grocery store, I saw they had peaches. I thought it was early in the season, but YAY PEACHES! So I bought ten of them (or so).

I should have gone with my first instinct. They looked okay on the outside, but they are all still far too green to eat.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

If you have a grill, out-of-season stone fruits can be very successfully rescued by applying a little heat.

That was our thought.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, look, new Natter.

Re green tea ice-cream: WANT.

Re weekend: what's this weekend you're talking about? (Signed, she who had no rest for the last 4 weekends. Not all bad things, but no rest).

Re time: Why isn't it September now? August will be fine, too. OK, Tuesday will suffice, since I'm going to meet Nilly, and ice cream, and books.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and we have now decided that since it is SO beautiful out, we're going to head out to Coney Island after D's nap

It's very beautiful in SF this morning as well.

Matilda stomped around the house this morning demanding (not asking) "Where's Obbie?!" (Emmett)

She made me pull out my phone and show her the pictures of Emmett I have on it.

We saw Jon B. and FAQwife last night! Matilda was at her super most charming (in contrast to her zombie staring imitation for brunch), and I think it was FAQwife's good manners alone which prevented her from stuffing Matilda in her purse on the way out.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Breakfast was had. Made Franny's favorite pancakes and cooked up some overripe bananas into a syrup. Not a fancy brunch, but yummy. I'm not sure what we'll do with the rest of our day, but I'm enjoying the quiet of the morning so far.

OK, Tuesday will suffice, since I'm going to meet Nilly, and ice cream, and books.

Now I'm jealous.
