We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Ginger I hope you feel better soon.

I'm very tired. moving in august even with movers sucks.

However my new place rocks and I have pictures -- [link]

I have nice neighbors I think. Hipster vegan neighbors and Mac using neighbors I think they are all the same I'm not sure. The quadrplex next door is owned by the same guy so I think (but I'm not sure) that tenants in both places use either parking area. But I don't know I have to figure it out.

I also have non hipster vegan neighbors. I say hipster I don'tknow but the two chicks I've seen have the bob and the dark glasses and the Mac.

And cars have vegan bumperstickers.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Love the new place, askye! Also, sorry we didn't get to have a mini F2F when I was in your area last month. I ended up helping grad school friends with projects and it took the whole time I was there.

Maybe next time??? I should be in town a couple times this year to try to see a show.

Yea for nice neighbors!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

nice, askye.

Yesterday we started removing the glued down carpet in the dinning room kitchen area. gross, and very hard work. Today I've spent most of my time organizing and moving stuff-- so we can pull off more carpet. I'm already tired enough for a week

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

There's a Dilbert about hiring an intern to wander around waving his arms to keep the lights on.

"Another journalism major enters the workforce."

(Panel 1: Pointy-haired boss tells Dilbert and his short buddy that, to save money, they've installed motion-detector lights.

Panel 2: Pointy-haired boss says that the problem is, they keep going off, so they brought in an intern to flap his arms at intervals to keep the lights on. [Intern is seen in the background, flapping.]

Panel 3: Dilbert looks at short buddy and says, "Another journalism major enters the workforce." [Intern is still flapping in the background, this time with teeth gritted and an angry look on his face.])

I've had that comic strip on my computer monitor for about 10 years, possibly longer.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

What, doesn't everyone agree with me all the time? Isn't that a law or something?

Only in your head, sweetie.

I suspect not even there.

See, now, that was scarily perceptive of Joe. Really.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oh, my internet is working! It's been almost 5 days.

SO. I have a job, and actually started today. Insanely early, I know. Their enrollment went up and they needed an elective teacher. Um. Great.

Pay is ok, it's a corporate charter, which will be interesting, and I'm teaching Newspaper, Yearbook and 4 sections of Multiculti Lit one semester and Intro to the Novel the next.

No, I'm NOT a journalism major. Taught Newspaper or Yearbook? Nevah...

I have told them this, and they are fine with it. So, I guess I'm going to do the best I can. I'm not worried about yearbook, but with newspaper...they're gonna have to be ok with a monthly or biweekly job, and I'm going to be a week ahead of the kids on the basics of Journalism 101.

So, that's my news. Also, I have a PSA:

Never let a guy in an alley pick you up on a Saturday night. Even if he's cute. It leads to sad French farce.

Ok!!

...this sounds like it could also lead to a horror movie.

BUT YAY A JOB!!!
