Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I need to go grocery shopping. But I don't wanna go out in 105f heat. Instead I'm watching the diving trials. I know nothing about it except splash = bad.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oy, Ginger.

I just got back from the beach. Was fun. Great waves. And, once again, I forgot that "waterproof" sunscreen really isn't, and after an hour in the water, I ought to put more on. My right shoulder and the right side of my neck got sunburned, which is a kind of interesting effect.

oh god. Crazy right wing uncle just forwarded me a note that Obama might not be eligible because at the time of his birth the laws said something or other about both parents legal citizens for 5 years, and his mom was 18, and not for 5 years. I dunno, I stopped reading. Seems like that would have been discovered long before now.

Random question -- how long do you keep timesheets from your direct deposit? I have a bunch of them from my part time job, and I'm wondering if I should just shred them or hang on to them for some reason?

Vortex, I tend to let them pile up for a while, until I think to throw them out. Unless there's a dispute about the number of hours you worked or you think your vacation/sick leave is incorrect, I don't see the need to keep any farther back then the paycheck before. That's based on all the places I've ever worked, where the totals were cummulative, so there's no point in keeping previous ones. Once I got the W-2, I chucked them all.
