Yay for Emmett and the rest of the Northern California State Champions!! How awesome is that! I ♥ me some Arlo, Hec. All those boys, really. Hope they get one heck of a party out of it!

Okay that penguin is kind of awesome.

Arlo was Emmett's teammate on our regular season team, The Cubs, as well. The manager and the other coach and I had a motto as the season wore on: "We had a problem so we threw Arlo at it."

Whenever we needed a huge pitching performance against a murderer's row lineup, or a key defensive stop, or a game winning hit...Arlo took care of it for us.

He's actually one of the smaller players on our team. And seeing as how we play lots of other all-star teams, we've seen a lot of really good players. But he's easily the best. He's like a small little Ichiro, except when he's Ozzie Smith, except when he's Greg Maddux.

Not that we didn't have a great team. We did. Deep pitching, incredible defense (we turned 8 double plays during all-star play. Only one double play was turned against us. We had four outs at the plate too. Our outfield defense made plays that other teams just didn't make) and everybody can hit. But he's the reason The Cubs won Tournament of Champions, and he's the reason Albany won the State Championship.

The Buffista -ma is powerful! I am on a plane! Not only that, but since ND used FF miles to book it and there weren't any coach seats left, I'm in first class. And because we "stole" this 777 that is mainly for international flights, holy crap is this first class nice. Google 777 first class cabin. Fully reclining and 90 degree rotatig bed-seats! My own tv with tons of free channels! Multiple tables and pockets and...wow. Someone just offered me champagne! Things are definitely looking up. I still won't get into Miami until 1:40am, but at this rate I might not want to get off.
