Everyone have a good day off! YAY for taking days.
Nora, I hope they figure out what's going on. I meant to say that yesterday, but forgot. Bad me!
sj, HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!
I am trying to be all productive today. It's scary.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

eggs, bacon, and banana bread
nom, nom, nom!
All I managed this morning was cereal, banana and yogurt all mixed together.
Oh Aims, I'm laughing and horrified at the same time.
How is it already almost noon? Grrrr...

I know! We were supposed to have left already. Printing up maps first. We're going go to head to Newport first and then back to Mom's for the weekend.
walked to a local diner for breakfast
Red's or something in your neck of the woods?
I'm such an ingrate. DH makes two eggs over easy on a bed of grits and cheese nearly every morning for brunch. Twice a week there's sausages as well. Is nummy, and because it's two meals in one, I get away with it. The grits is 'cause I love sopping up egg yolk but I'm not allowed bread or toast.
Some days I just want oatmeal. But I can't face the look of disappointment on his face if I say that out loud.
So yesterday I had oatmeal and fresh peaches for supper. Num. And then garlic hummus on raw zuchini slices for after-dinner snack.
What?
If any of that is wrong, Bev, I don't wanna be right.
Today is crazy making!
If I reschedule something, and you say it's ok? You do not get to call me 3 times in an hour to ask why I rescheduled.
omnis, I think you're right. We're just going to have to go with regular screen. We're still good with noon though (it's actually better since J has an appointment at 3). Don't know about Balcony. J was saying he wanted to stay in, but maybe if I tell him you're going he'll change his mind.
Jilli! Freaking cool!
Aims's classmate only speaks American.
"Learn the language. At least learn key phrases so that you can get help if you need it. I had trouble the first time I went to Europe because I didn't speak any French or British."

On behalf of the people of Europe (and I venture to suspect that the people of Asia, Africa, Australasia and the Middle East will join us on this one), I have a message for your acquaintance: "Stay home. No, really."
(Could you translate it into American for her?)
Meanwhile, I have ventured out into the world, where I have purchased a book, eaten dinner at Sizzler for the first time in a year and a half, and scored Season 4 Doctor Who on DVD, along with season 4 of Numb3rs, and the recent TV adaptation of Sense and Sensibility made by Andrew "Best ever version of Pride and Prejudice, [although I have reservations about that whole Colin-Firth-in -the-lake thing, but evidently the rest of womankind loved it]" Davies.
Have watched first 2 episodes of Doctor Who (after spending the past couple of days rewatching season 3. Well, most of Season 3. I decided to give the finale a bit of a bodyswerve) and I find that I am in love with Donna Noble. She made me cry in both episodes. She is made of awesome.
Also, I want to find Steven Moffat and ply him with beer and chocolates. I'd forgotten how good the script of Blink was. I mean, it's a lovely concept, and the cast is v. good, but that's some cracking dialogue right there. Love love love. (Also, I cannot decide whether I fancy Sally Sparrow or Billy more. But there's a lot of fancying.)
And I really do want a T shirt that reads "The Angels Have The Phone Box." Very much.

Sure.
"American Idol is on."
