I am highly amused that the conversation on trimming the bush continued all day. 'Bout all I have to add is to echo this comment from Barb:
but that whole chest-waxing phenomenon is *bleah*.
How many of us came to either puberty or sexual awareness during the years when Tom Selleck was flaunting his manly, hairy hand chest on Magnum, P.I.? Though, I gotta say, the sleek, waxed look works pretty good on those guys in Speedos at actual Olympic pools.
Hmm. Considering how well Speedos work for most guys, I wonder if there is a connection.
How much fun did we have tonight? SO much fun. We watched
Xanadu
on a huge screen on the second floor of a downtown LA parking garage (turned drive-in movie theater for the night) while the Angel City Derby Girls skated around and served us snacks. HELL yeah.
We will definitely be back to watch more movies at the Angel City Drive In.
That sounds like wayyyyyy too much fun, Kristin, and y'all surely deserve it, too.
amen to that. Glad y'all got some positive quality time together.
Huh. I seem to have become a night owl and somewhat insomniac lately. 'Tis a strange feeling.
Tom can be MABSofUSBE of the East coast, and Pete can be MABSofUSBE of the West coast. Plenty of adorability to go around! In the sense that they are adored by their spouses and perhaps select Buffistas.
But that leaves Central uncovered! If anyone has potential nominees for the postion you can give them my number.
Oooh! Pick me! Pick me!
ND, I'm so sorry that you've had all this crapness to deal with lately, and I'm very impressed by how bloody grown up you're being about it all. Hoping the Universe is going to start sending some good things your way soon, love.
It is 8am. So far this morning I have gotten two children dressed, showered and dressed myself, started a load of diapers in the wash, fed Ellie breakfast, fed Frisco sweet potatoes, nursed him, put him down for a nap, swept the floors, let the dogs out, fed the dogs, made myself breakfast and started the diapers on the next cycle.
I am tired.
Just reading that makes me feel tired, Stephanie, so you definitely deserve a break. Of course, I'm not sure you will get one.
My goodness, Stephanie! That's quite the productive morning! Naptime, I'd say!
I'm on hold with Verizon. I'm sick of being on hold with Verizon.
Though, I gotta say, the sleek, waxed look works pretty good on those guys in Speedos at actual Olympic pools. Hmm. Considering how well Speedos work for most guys, I wonder if there is a connection.
I dunno... I grew up in Miami, and in the winter, when all the European tourists would descend on us, I saw way too many oversized Germans wearing tiny Speedos and it kind of scared me.
Now, the swimmers, on the other hand... We were lamenting the use of the shark suits in my blog the other day. And I posted a lovely picture of Ian Thorpe modeling a pair. (Of Speedos!)
Of course, true to my nature, I preferred the unwaxed look to the waxed, although when you have a body that's that pretty, HUMINA-- don't much matter, one way or the other.
Kristin, SO glad y'all had a fun night out. Xanadu. Hee! I'm flashing back to adolescence now.
