Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

'Dirty Girls'

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

As soon as I can find something that I want to do. That pays appropriately. I don't come cheap. But, I'm good at what I do.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Knee-surgery~ma for your dad, Vortex. Also, good vibes for job hunting.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Loads of surgery~ma to your dad, Vortex, and CV~ma to you. You and Sparky working in the same place would be either awesome or terrifying beyond the telling.

ION, please, people, tell me to stay away from the SF Chronicle's articles on the battle over putting a suicide barrier up on the Golden Gate Bridge. The overwhelming preponderance of letters and comments saying, "It's a frivolous waste of money, we should just let 'em jump rather than impede the view (especially since they'll just fall into the water, unlike building jumpers who may land on innocent people down on the sidewalk), and anyone who asks me to read an article or study analyzing suicide facts vs. myths is a liberal elitist" is making me both ill and stabby.

If I want to keep any faith at all in humanity, I need to back far far away. How bad is it? After this, Salon Letters would probably be a restful oasis of sweet peace and reason.

Awesome for us, terrifying for everyone else.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

JZ, do not read the Chron's comments. They are stupid and wasteful and guaranteed to be tooth-grindy. Even the comments on Entertainment or Food are annoying, since there's a couple persistent trolls.

I read an article yesterday arguing that newspaper's websites should not have a comment feature, and I think I agree with that position.

Stay away. I've had to stay FAR FAR away from the ones about the Aurora Bridge, esp. as a friend lost her son to the thing (with the Aurora Bridge, a lot of jumpers also hit buildings and people).

Punishingly Intricate

Lord nothing gets me more irritated more quickly than comments on Sun articles online.
