Calli, good healing-ma for your dad.
Yay new job for Trudy!! Yay snubbing of evil ex jobs for Sparky & Perkins!
I'm trying to decide what to do today. Do I try to go for a run before work? Do I clean and do errands before work? I get done at 5 today (which is ridiculously early for me) so I can go for a bike ride AND a run after work before it gets dark, if I get my tire fixed before work.
I should probably run this morning and bike this evening.
If it is out of Canaveral we could have a mini F2F cruise!
((((ND, Kristin, and family))))
I'm distracting myself by going through pages and pages of paperwork for my next job. I'm basically supervising all the tech elements for the Nick Family Cruise. Crazy.
Not crazy. At times like this, you do what you have to to keep sane.
Much ~ma to Calli and family.
Drew- I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad that he was able to be at home with you all there.
Trudy! Congratulations on the new job.
Drew, I'm sorry for your loss, and my condolences to you and yours.
Calli, healing and health vibes for your dad.
Both Perkins and I got to snub evil past employers, which never gets old no matter how many years go by.
Oh goodness, something to go in the WIN column. Yay! And congrats, Trudy, on the new job. Yay!
I cut my froofy coffee out of my morning diet as a means of saving calories. I already quit smoking a few months ago. Can't the Universe be happy with that for a while? Apparently not if I want my current wardrobe to continue to fit. Hmph.
Just dropped $750 on plane fare to Pittsburgh and back. I went with JetBlue, because I like their planes, lots of room and a TV in the seat. God, that plane fare is nearly as much as the entire Vegas trip.
I actually spoke to my oldest sister last night, it was a pleasant, brief chat. Hubby is baffled that I can have a phone conversation with someone I haven't spoken to in 25 years that lasted less than ten minutes. It's just--without teh intervening 25 years of knowledge, there's no real basis for conversation. I need an icon of Miss Manners that I can meditate on to get through awkward conversations and silences.
Peace be with you, Drew, and all of yours.
Ouch, $750. I do find JetBlue a more pleasant experience though. May the family encounters be easier than anticipated. When do you depart? How are you getting from Pgh to your destination?
I hope the trip is a calm and healing one for you, Connie.
I hope the $750 was for tickets for both of you!
