I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

CA makes you take the written as well, and they make you RE-TAKE it if you're there for any sort of state change (new classification, new address) on your DL and it's been over a year since you took it. Got ambushed by that one last year when I went to take the motorcycle written.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Nicole's bf said that it is a basic trade in, no written automatically necessary, but I forgot to ask if I got instant license or not.

I'll encourage mom to go get hers and have her be my guinne pig informant.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Liv's doing much better. Doctor said it's probably viral and looks like it's in her throat, as well. We'll buy more popsicles and children's tylenol and keep an eye on it. She and Owen are presently playing quietly with some playdoh.

Uh, cut that "quietly" part. They're fighting over the hot pink. *sigh* I hate taking them both into the doctor's office at the same time. It makes me a frazzled, crazed looking idiot.

Glamcookie lives up to her name.

Raq, I continue with the WTF and the jaw-dropping gall of these people. I hope their new tenants sue their asses.

In other, more pleasant news, we got some Harry & David pears as thank you gifts from our house guests and I pronounce them YUM!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I did have to take the written

Every state I've be re-licensed in has required a written exam: Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, Illinois. I don't know about Colorado because that was where I got my license at 16, so of course I had the written and driving tests.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

NY didn't require retaking the written since my CT license was still valid. NY mailed you the license, but they would show you the photo on the spot and let you retake it if you didn't like the first one.

I never got a MD license despite living there 2 years (I didn't own a car so I figured they couldn't really do much about it). California made me retake the test, but it was pretty easy with a bit of review of specific things (like parking on hills).

When I went to get my new DC license, they SHREDDED the old one right in front of me! It was so sudden! I didn't get to say goodbye to the kickass picture!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Feel better, Liv. And don't make Cash break out the Mommy Juice Boxes.

IOW, I'm not about to laugh at you.
Nah, I am used to it. My dad was both amused and kinda offended when I told him. Something about the fact I'd done some driving (of the race-y vroom kind) schooling and then failed my test.

The written is barely about driving, it's about little rules. But now I know that the default speed limit in a business zone is lower than the default residential... Oh, and if I hit a bear, I have to report it to the police.

They also did two pictures because the lady didn't like the first one. The paper printed out with a bar code and picture and everything. Actual came in the mail a few days later. Barring flunking the test the first time and wanting to whither from the embarrassment, easy peasy.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

MA didn't require me to take the written.

We just had dinner, and my anxiety attack seems to be calming down, so maybe I don't need a new day after all.
