Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's sadly reminiscent of when I was first out of college and I had three boyfriends in a row get engaged shortly after dating me. My friends in NY joked that I should hire myself out to Jewish mothers looking for their sons to settle down

Ooh, I have TOTALLY been that person! Where the next person they dated was their lobster! Though it wasn't like we were together all that long, so I didnt' figure it was the David effect like he said "Two of them said, in effect, that "you weren't The One, but our relationship was healthy and I could see how a long term commitment would work."". It was just freaky coincidence, in my case.

t haircut discussion

Paging Hecubot! Paging Hecubot! I need hairstyle pictures. I have an appointment for a haircut with Anna the Wonder Stylist on Saturday. I'm going to get about 3" cut off the length, and I'm keeping the batwing point bangs. I think I want to get some layers added all over for volume, but I'd like some pictures for reference. Currently my hair is all one length, and reaches to my mid-back.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Hivemind question.

I need to get a Colorado driver's license, supposedly within 30 days of moving here. I'm due to fly to Boise July 22nd, returning on the 24th. I should wait until after that trip, yes? The airport won't take a paper license, will they? How do they handle folks that have temporaries?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

According to Phoebe on Friends, lobsters mate for life. Thus, when you've found the person you want to be with for life, you've found your lobster.

(Actually, it turns out, lobsters don't mate for life.)

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I am unfamiliar with this term. Please to explain.

It's a Friends reference, coined by Phoebe (?) because lobsters mate for life (?). Ross was Rachel's lobster.
