Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

School-ma for Burrell.

Crap. Owen's burning up with fever and complaining of aches and a hurty tummy. Liv had a little accident while in the bath with him last night so I'm a little concerned he got some contaminated water in his mouth before I could hustle them both out of the tub.

I've given him some Tylenol and he's eating a popsicle right now. If he gets any worse, I'm going to take him into the pediatrician.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Better-ma for Owen. And school-ma for Burrell.

I've been cranky as hell all morning, and I just realized I have a combination sinus & tension headache. I should medicate, that might help, ya think?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Good news! The Boston doctor's have decided that my nephew J does not need heart surgery at this time. They want to monitor him and run some tests of their own a few months from now, but they think opening him up will do more harm than good at the moment. They don't want the hospital in TX to be running the tests anymore, so it looks like there may be more trips to Boston in his future.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Medicate away, Bev.

sj, that's terrific! poor little guy, I hope he turns out to be just fine without the surgery.

Thanks, smonster. They want to continue to monitor a leaky valve and the scar tissue, but just knowing he doesn't need immediate surgery is such a relief that I nearly in tears over here. I'm trying to stop myself from actually crying because the carpenter is still here.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Tummy~ma for Owen~~~

School~ma for Burrell~~~

Every time I think of schools, I envy my parents, since they just didn't have all the school choice complexities we do now. Mainly, I'm trying to avoid focusing on the worst-case scenario (AB is assigned to the worst public school in our area, none of the private schools we can afford but don't find obnoxious theologically or philosophically have openings) unless it actually comes to pass.

ETA wonderful news, sj!
