I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Holy smokes, I can't believe I read the whole thing!

Back from vacation and dismayed about Teppy's asshat bosses. Damn. I'm wiped out so that's all the outrage I can muster at this time, but once I get my post-vacation juju going you can bet I will be raging with the best of them.

So I think I might just drink a lot of beer

I must say, Tep, I think this is a SPLENDID idea.

We had a lovely time in Maine. (Perkins, Anne says hi and wants to know if you're going to be up this year) Here's what we did: Sleep till noon. Get up, eat delicious breakfast in pj's. Sit and read and drink beer. Stop for early dinner, either at home or out (depending on how much beer was consumed). Read. Go to sleep. Lather, rinse, repeat.

We didn't leave the island for the entire 8 days. We did, however, go through 2 cases of beer.

I had to go to work today. I did not like this turn of events AT ALL. Apparently I will need to go again tomorrow! Savages.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

We didn't leave the island for the entire 8 days. We did, however, go through 2 cases of beer.

THIS. IS. AWESOME.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Welcome back, Nora! I'm glad you had a great vacation!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

THIS. IS. AWESOME.

Worth repeating.

I like #2 too, Susan.

A little not enough rain to turn the triathlon into a duathlon-ma please? Double running is not what I signed up to do.

Woohoo to Glamcookie and her soon to be bride!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

OK, I'll go with #2. This is for my finalist photo for the PNWA Writers Contest. Apparently they project them on a screen during the awards ceremony, and when I told the coordinator I literally didn't have a photo from the last four years without my 4-year-old, she said the kid could stay in the picture. But I so do not like pictures of me. Which is part of the reason there are so few of them.
