I know, Jessica. It's insanity is what it is!
So, I just talked to Sophie's mom. I was at least partially right. She waited for a while, then put her on the leash and walked her around a bit. She said she could tell she was really sore, but it didn't seem like anything was broken, so she just took her home after talking to one of the nurses. And they even helped the mom put Sophie in the car (I was REALLY impressed with this Animal ER).
So, anyways, I'm going to go check on her at noontime.
I do not want to be here.
Oh, being at b.org is fine. No, no.
But I am at work. Alas. After a week of being Not At Work.
omnis: Received your package, you rockin' dude and thank you! Safe travels.
How is everyone else?
awake and ambitious before I usually even get out of bed
I suppose you're off in the internet-less salt mines by now, Teppy, but I wanted to urge you to remember that this situation is *not* a judgment on your worth and abilities. It is a decision by crazy people that will have the fortunate side-effect of moving you towards getting a job where people do appreciate your talents.
Dear client,
For the love of god, learn to use the hyphen. Also, an initial phrase modifies the subject of the sentence.
Love, me
Plus, everyone in my department had to sign something agreeing to have NO radio, NO music, no personal calls unless they are an actual emergency, and no internet use beyond that which is necessary for work.
...I would not be able to work without music. One of my justifications for buying an ipod was to get through a certain regular boring-ass task. Which I still procrastinate on, but the music makes it more bearable.
Erin - I shake my tiny fist at the universe on your behalf. I wish there was more I could do.
Major gronk, y'all. A certain be-mohawked boy I met during the f2f is leaving for AK this morning, and was supposed to call me and I ended staying up re-reading American Gods until almost 2 am. Not his fault - I just got sucked in. It was the part where
Wednesday dies and Shadow holds his vigil,
etc.
I know he'll call before he leaves - I'm not worried on that score. But if I could get some general don't-get-eaten-by-a-bear, don't-get-hurt-so-they-can't-hike-out, don't-get-shot-or-shoot-anyone-accidentally-or-on-purpose -ma in that direction, that would be AWESOME. (Find-enough-tiny-bits-of-gold-to-cover-costs-and-buy-a-ticket-to-visit-smonster-ma is optional)
Whatever. (You had to be there.)
I am quickly catching up before picking up my friend Genesis at the airport for her two months in Seattle, whoot!! She stays with me for the first week or so, then gets a sublet. Meanwhile, I spent most of the day....canoodling.
whoa! for a second, I connected the canoodling with G, and was mightily confused ;)
I was there!
We are having apocalyptic amounts of rain, again. I drove most of the way in on I-94 at 45 mph. And then I slogged through four to six inches of water in the parking lot, while being lashed by driving rain. So, in response to MiracleMan's inquiry:
Wet.
Whatever. (You had to be there.)
Well, I'm still fine and he's still cute. *g*
