Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

not your mom's socks.

the bad is back at work. the main person involved has begun using air quotes around most, if not all, of the terms that reference services I deal with. Too bad she cannot redirect the time with the extra keys towards useful dictionary deployment. Chick doesn't spell well at all.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I wipped out the Amex Gift Cheque, and they took it! (suckers). Did I mention it was given to me in 1997! OMG!

I think California has some sort of law on the books that says gift certs and gift cards can't expire.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

The job I interviewed for last Wed. said they would be making a decision by the end of this week. Since tomorrow's the fourth, should I call them today, or wait?

Ha! Yes! Love that episode.

I'm terrible with that kind of stuff, Erin. I'd probably wait, but I'm also kind of chicken.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I don't watch Friends, never did, so the reference zips right past me ... but glad it gives you a chuckle.

Our wings are not tired.

I'd call Erin since today is the last day of the week. How did they leave it with you?

Also, I had a dream last night where I was on some kind of adventure or project with you, Erin. I thought to myself at the time that I had to remember to tell Erin, then when I woke up the only part I could remember was that I wanted to remember. Stupid subconscious.

Awesome, Laura! I dreamt I went to London with my sister and dad, and then sister stranded us while she went out with Lindsey Lohan and I had to go to a creepy castle to find her. Maybe you were helping. That would have bee made of WIN.

I interviewed last Wednesday, and asked when they were planning on making a decision regarding this position, and they said they planned to make one by the end of next week.

I sent my thank you notes on Wednesday after the 'view and haven't heard anything. But they're only open till 12:30 in the summer, so....

I just don't know! I don't want to be pushy, but three and a half more days is crazy-making.

Our wings are not tired.

If you haven't had contact with them since last Wednesday I would think a follow up call wouldn't be too pushy.

Oh, what to do. Everyone but Laura says "Monday" -- but her "today" advices is alluring and delicious to my ears....

More coffee. More coffee will help, c'est vrai?
