The question then becomes WHICH beach...Golden Gardens? Which is bigger and has an off leash dog area? Or Denny Blaine, which is closer and traditionally gay, but small?
The off leash area is a fair way from the beach. It's across the railroad tracks and up the hill. Also, Golden Gardens is traditionally crowded as heck as soon as it gets warm out.
So go Denny Blaine.
asshat!boss part seventy eleven billion. Apparently, my group has a meeting with the new president of the u today. I didn't get invited until 10 minutes ago. Now, I am wearing slacks, sleeveless sweater and a cardigan. By no means unprofessional, but not what I would have worn to meet the new goddamn president. I have almost an hour. I think I'll go home and change.
Oh, ugh, Vortex. I'd probably do the same thing. How frustrating.
So, where is everyone else today? It's so quiet!
Yay for living close to work, Vortex! Whoot!!!
I am getting ready to run some errands and then go to Ikea, VW. Which is not working from home at all, but, um...I'm planning ot buy a desk at Ikea? And then put it together and hopefully organize my "working from home" space?
I whacked my toe this morning moving shelves at school. The nail's all purple and it hurts. I am now camped out on the sofa, where I shall remain, cursing periodically because it makes me feel better.
Oh no! Ice, as you know, is your friend, and taping it to the next toe can make it feel better.
eta: Which reminds me of Judith Viorst's
It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness
But cursing helps too.
It's the big one, so I've just got it padded and taped. I should re-ice, though.
Am now wearing better outfit. Black suit pant with black sleeveless shirt, with a pink linen jacket. Black flats with patent leather toes complete the look. Clearly, yesterday's talk with Jilli influence my outfit. off to meeting!
