Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

F2F Otter Lake!!!

Dear me... since summer break started, I've been good about going to bed by 1 or 2 and getting up by 10 every day (and for an avowed night person, this is good). Last night, I couldn't fall asleep until about 3:30 and ended up sleeping until 1:30. Seriously. That's not good.

I went to the doc last week and got my thyroid levels checked and sure enough, they're off quite a bit. Upped my meds and we'll see how it goes. Hopefully I will have more energy soon.

I don't dare show the picture to DH because he will remind me that I didn't give him daughters to spoil and fuss over.

hey, sperm determines gender. It's all his fault.

Our wings are not tired.

Much to my shock and surprise I have morphed into a morning person. The deer picture was from 6:15 this morning. I haven't quite stopped trying to stay up at night, but I start nodding out by 10pm. Pathetic.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Yeah, us too, Laura.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I saw a Nova thing about samurai swords. It was a detailed explanation of the process of making one, filming Japanese craftsmen, everything from smelting the iron through the final sword.

I'll have to look for that--sounds really cool.

This is me, except I do frequently try to stay up late.

When I'm actually working at night, my body clock quickly adjusts, but when the job is over, I quickly go back to this.

I'm pretty sure I've permanently damaged my body clock.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

My nice co-worker just came by and said, "Let's go look at puppies!" So we are! He's the one whose dog was attacked and killed a couple of weeks ago. PUPPIES!

I wish I was more of a morning person. The world is really set up for morning people with work starting at 8, stores closing at 6/8/9p, etc.

But, I've never been a morning person. My mom says that at about 10 days old, I started going to sleep around 10pm and sleeping through the night till about 9am.

Please, I slept in the day I was born and was born around 12:30 in the afternoon.
