She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The bank didn't give me a problem about the check. Yay!

Do inks go bad? And if not does anyone want a box of Levenger inks?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Got back frommy job interview; it went well, I think. No strong vibes, but I would really like to work for this school.

The only sticky part was them asking me why my contract wasn't renewed; I told them the reason I was given is that I didn't turn my lesson plans in on time. However, I was told my contract wasn't renewed three days after I informed them I needed to have major surgery. But the reason I was given was only the lesson plans.

I left them to draw their own correlations. I was very matter-of-fact and brief about it.

But damn, I looked cute! My friend hooked me up with a top and a purse, and my hair is freshly cut and colored, and everything fit right and was coordinated, and I felt GREAT walking into that interview.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We've been talking about seeing WALL-E in the theater with the kids. But I'm a bit worried that Franny won't make it. She tends to burst into tears at the first sign of conflict no matter how minor. We tend to get through most DVDs with a fair dose of FFing.

Okay, why are sick toddlers so friggin' adorable? I feel bad for thinking my boy is so cute right now, but he's all cuddly and puddly on the couch.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Okay, why are sick toddlers so friggin' adorable? I feel bad for thinking my boy is so cute right now, but he's all cuddly and puddly on the couch.

It's hideously, horribly adorable. Also, it's sometimes the only time the more active and independent ones will let you snuzzle and snoodle them.

Emeline was tired of having her picture taken I think.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Bah, I have cat related anxiety. We're gonna be gone for 8 days and have hired a house/cat sitter, in the form of my younger cousin, to feed Taz and scoop his litterbox and hang out with him.

Well, we find out that Taz has a UTI and needs to take antibiotics. The vet gave Tom a week's worth (out of THREE WEEKS OMG) of pills and it's the kind that you can put in his food. Except that Taz is a cat and not stupid and eats right around that sucker. Now Tom is talking like, OK, let's try to tempt him with catnip and cat treats and work at it like ALL FREAKING DAY (like, we tried at breakfast, Tom went home at lunch and had partial success using his tricks, and we'll try again tonight) but I really, really, really am uncomfortable saddling my cousin with this responsibility.

First of all, she so did not sign up for this when she accepted the offer of housesitting. Second, she may not have the time, patience, and committment to make sure that he gets the meds.

Also, since we are leaving on Friday for Maine, we have a quickly closing window of time that we can experiment with different medicating systems and tricks.

I even am thinking that we should cancel the trip!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Poor sick adorable toddlers.

Aimee, all those people are so beautiful, and beautifully dressed.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Back from ultrasound. The results are being sent to my PCP, but the tech told me everything looked great and she saw no signs of fibroids. Which is good in terms of planning to try for a pregnancy in 2009, not so good in that apparently I have painful and heavy periods just 'cuz. Not a complete surprise, since that's always been the case with me to some degree. But it's gotten worse in the last 2-3 years, and my mom had fibroids back in the day, so I'd glommed onto that as a probable explanation.
