vw, check your temporary files folder. Sometimes they'll get tucked there to try and save them. They may have funky names and extensions that won't open. Try renaming the extensions and opening them with whatever program you were using. They may be screwed up or may not, but there might be something salvagable to save you from having to recreate them from scratch.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I've checked the temp folder. They're not in there. Eh. I'll just redo them today. Hopefully that will be ok.
Well, bummer. Fast typing~ma, then!
Argh, vw, how annoying! Stoopid machines.
However, you and CBD? Approaching Pete levels of adorability.
Tep's Boy's arms are HAWT. Mrowr.
Drew, I hope you get some good news today. Or any news at all, really.
I want to see WALL*E again. Now. Nownownownownow.
Jess - you think it's ok for Em to see in the theater?
Ugh, so sorry, vw. Reminds me of the desktop image on my son's computer [link] - but that sometimes doesn't help. We've had the whole user wiped out from OS wonkiness. But but but - cutiehead boy!!!
And Teppy with the cutiehead Boy! And multiple cakes! Sweeeeet!
{{Drew & Kristin & family}} The waiting is so awful. Doses of peace and calm ~ma sent along with the health ~ma.
ND, I hope that you get better news than you're expecting.
vw, I'm sorry about the lost work. Good luck getting it all done.

There are some pretty scary/sad parts, but I didn't see any little kids ask to leave the screening (and I did see a few about Em's age). Honestly, I think it was probably worse for the adults because I'm not sure someone under the age of 5 is going to have the emotional and narrative maturity to realize that the consequences of X could be Y and then spend the rest of the scene worrying that Y might happen and it would be so sad OMGEVEDON'TLETYHAPPEN!!! (If that makes sense. The tense moments are almost entirely anticipation-driven, rather than actual-thing-happening-driven.)
There were a few kids who got antsy and wanted to sit on the steps in the aisle instead of their seats, but it was pretty clearly an attention-span issue rather than a scary-movie issue.
The funny/exciting parts (which is most of it) are fantastic for kids because it's a very visually-told story - almost like a silent movie, because the robots primarily communicate via R2D2-esque beeps (same sound designer!)
So yes, if Em can sit through a 90-minute movie without having to get up and run around, I'd recommend all three of you see it in theatres as soon as is humanly possible.
vw and CBD and Teppy and The Boy are two of the cutest most glowy couples I have ever seen!

Awesome. We're going to take her maybe this weekend. She's very excited about it and keeps telling people about how she's "going to the show!"
