[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

message for Maria (and any other DCistas who might be interested): on Thursday evenings there's a farmers' market on 8th Street between D and E. One of the booths is "artisinal" gelatos; I think they usually include hazelnut. Also Valrhona chocolate. Other flavors vary by the week. I've never bought any, since it takes me so long to get home by bus (and, tempting though it might be, consuming an entire pint on the spot wouldn't be a good thing), but I've sampled and it was good.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Erin, good luck to you and good job~ma.

Much medical~ma for ND's dad. Stupid cancer, we hates it, we does.

Our wings are not tired

In Denver now. Have over an hour until the next flight. No real news from sister. Oncologist did tests but no results until tomorrow.

Yeah. Fuck cancer. Dad has been the healthy one.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

My friend S, who is a thyroid cancer survivor, has two tattoos on his biceps. The right one says "fuck", the left one says "cancer". He'd buy a tshirt in a heartbeat. Even if it was pink, which we know it will not be.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Aw, hell, ND. So sorry. Fuck cancer indeed.

HEY! Y'know, I can save up my looming until I see you again. You do know that, right?

Yah boo sucks! I'm not afraid of you!

...while I'm in Bangkok.

Um.

I think that Jilli may have just used up all my Bless.

The status is NOT quo.

Jilli, did you see the House on the Rock pictures? More than once, we commented that it is probably good that you were not with us because we would have lost you to (many!many!) shinies. I took a special series of pics just for you. The graveyard clockwork thingy, the Absinthe sign, the Chalet of the Raven sign, and the musical hearse carriage were taken with love from me to you.

We're in Denver. I'm waving at you, Nicole!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just got off the phone with a friend who said some things that are very much not true, but I think she must believe them, because if she was remembering correctly she would know that I know the truth. Very strange.
