Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Aims started the new job and one of the people there is a Buffista lurker! Douchenozzle has denied her compensation for unused vacation time, big not surprise.

Ouch! Poor Frisco and mom. Yay for catching up with TW and DW, and seeing the doggies. I should do the catching up thing since it is storming here and internet is flaky. (wondrous rain, bring it on)

Trust my rage

a lurker! So weird- like s/he already knows Aimee and everything? That would be so strange.

I was pretty worried about Frisco because it looked awful at first but now it is scabbed over and healing well.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay for Frisco healing.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

is there a free version of Angie's list? The plumber unplugged the adapter for the washing machine and now I can't find it and when I called him to ask if he might have taken it by mistake he swore at me! I'd really like to report out on his service but I don't want to pay a membership fee.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Stephanie! I bet it was so wonderful to see the dogs! I'd forgotten they were still there. Silly me!

I planted my flowers today! YAY! Other than that, taking it pretty easy, which has been good. Tomorrow will be another quiet day, then I'm going to head home and start getting the apartment ready for the party. Also, YAY!

Maybe it's not too petty of me to hide the blender under the circumstances. When I told roommate D what I'd done he just smiled. When I said, "what else can we take away from them?" he password protected the computer.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Right on!

I went to the gym and walked on the treadmill (not v. fast) for 35 minutes, filled up my gas tank, napped, sat outside with the dogs, and...that's about it.

(Er, and, I took an Ativan earlier today -- the first one I've taken since the Dr. prescribed them on Tuesday. My mood swings finally swung so far out there that I needed something to reel them in. And it worked, so it's all good.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We went to a play in Providence today and then went to dinner with a gift certificate we forgot we had. It was a very nice day. Tomorrow we're headed back to RI for dinner at Mom's.

In happier news- these comfort gel insoles really work.

brillig

We were just watching a "young guy traveling the world" show set in Mongolia, and he wandered into a store in the capital, where he met a guy who spoke very good English. The guy called himself Batman, and he mentioned that he met his wife, a Mongolian girl, in Provo, Utah, where she was studying at Brigham Young University. Also Known As, the university I drive past every day on the way to work.

Hubby leaned towards the TV. "I know him!"

I looked closer. "He does look familiar. He came into [the game store Hubby used to manage]."

"Well, he is calling himself Batman."

The world, it is a smaller place.
