Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

In my occasional surfing through dominionist/patriarchal Christian websites, I came across this: [link]

13-year-old boy who, now that he's become a man, is totally prepared to go down with the ship, should he ever find himself in a sinking ship with an inadequate number of lifeboats.

I think I was just that earnest and idealistic through most of my teen years and even into my early 20's, but I hate to see it channeled through that particular worldview...

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Carbon fiber, damn, girl, serious!

Yes, it was a very pretty penny got spent today. I'm excited though! My friend and I have talked about doing a century ride (100 miles) this fall on the Eastern Shore, and it would be nice to join lisah for the Ride for the Feast next year.

I like that it's a frame I can grow in to, plus, it's my favorite color, purple!

I'm scared to look at Susan's link.

I'm sitting in Chestnut Hill, debating about whether to go back to the restaurant I had dinner at for the DJ, or to climb into the hot tub. Of course I could do music followed by hot tub.

I hope Steph is off and having a good time...or at least well on her way to having a good time.

Mom and I made 156 single-serve dinners today. I'm exhausted. Actually, I'm beyond exhausted.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I hope Steph is off and having a good time...or at least well on her way to having a good time.

We rolled out just a hair before 6:00, and we're now at a Super 8 in southern West Virginia, having made almost exactly the time that Google Maps said we should (4 hrs, 51 min). Weird.

My tummy is complaining, but NOTHING like last night. We were going to tough it out for another hour, but then I decided I wanted to lie down in a bed, and do so pretty soon. So the world's most amiable boyfriend said Sure, here's an exit with a bunch of motels.

We have a king-sized bed, free wireless internet, continental breakfast (okay, even if it's nothing but prune danish, at least there's lots of free coffee) -- that's really all I need. A nice hot shower and an industrial-sized a/c and Telemundo on the TV. We're set.

Mom and I made 156 single-serve dinners today. I'm exhausted. Actually, I'm beyond exhausted.

Good lord, vw -- that's what? FIVE MONTHS worth for one person. Wow.

Yay for you arriving safe and sound!

I know! It's insane. It's too much, actually. It almost didn't fit in the freezer. It's for three people, so it's about 6-weeks worth of food. We made some yummy stuff too.

We have about 6 hours tomorrow, but you know, I think I prefer doing it over 2 days. Driving all the way through might have killed me. Or at least made me very, very, stiff.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I'm with Steph - that's insane.

Esp since I know how I am about using the food in freezer
