Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

omnis- you're like Dr.Who!

The question is, which one?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

No one in my neighborhood slept last night, because it stayed so hot. I sort of behaved like a cat- moving from place to place-finding the cooler and more comfortable spots. DH is back - so I'd like to sleep in the same general vicinity. But if I go near the doors - I can still hear neighbors talking outside.

At least I know my house isn't the only hot house around here

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Guess who isn't leaving at the crack o' dawn for vacation?

Thanks to abdominal pain that started around 9:30 (conveniently *after* I mowed the lawn) and had me doubled over and clutching my stomach for hours, we got a few things done that we needed to, but didn't even get packed.

What's that, you say? ER? Nonsense! I just clutched my abdomen and expressed my discomfort vocally, and The Boy stretched out on the bed next to me, and we both fell asleep after an hour of my grumbling.

If the ultrasound is to be believed, the pain is NOT due to anything in the reproductive system. Which, actually, doesn't surprise me. Something is amok in my GI tract -- see also, my recent bout of gastroenteritis -- and I don't know what to do. I think it's the kind of thing that won't just go away by throwing pills at it, but that requires dietary changes/probiotics/possibly drugs.

My amazing primary-care doctor takes his own call (weekends and evenings), so I think I'll page him tomorrow morning while we take care of all the stuff we didn't get done tonight, and see what he thinks.

Yay fun.

Back to bed.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Hush you. The Loom+ is waiting for you.

Oh, crap, Teppy! That's awful!

Awww, dang, Teppy, that sucks a lot!!! I hope you manage to feel better and get some sleep at least. eesh.

I had a migraine yesterday, but then the decent date. And then today the migraine came back (stupid meds that make me dopey are supposed to PREVENT this!). Argh.

So I did not manage to come up with a 30s or 40s style costume, and bailed on the birthday party of a person I did not know, and went dancing instead. I figured I had the energy to do the dancing, which yes, takes energy, but a known amount. As opposed to "come up with costume, figure out when friends are going, where party is, meet people, be "on" all night, etc etc".

And turns out, the "trolling for hos" girl's sister is in town? And damn cute. And I had lots of fun mad flirting with her. Plus another girl brought someone new who is cute and will probably be coming back again (yay!). And then later we went to the other place we dance (which is only a few times a month, but is this big ballroom place, and has more than just country music), and the GILF and I did a dance that was so freakin' hot. OMG. Seriously. Afterwards she and I were like "Wow" and pretty much admitted that we needed someone to throw a bucket of water on us both, and that it was both the best and hottest we had ever danced. Later, I danced with someone we've both been in lessons for that style with, and she was like "So...are you and [GILF] dating??" and I laughed and was like "No", and she was like "Oh, darn! I was rooting for you!!" and I laughed and laughed.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm also up too early! Not only that, I was about to get up and start getting ready for work. WTF, brain?
