Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What you really need is a letterer who can emulate your handwriting, but legible, MM.

Punishingly Intricate

Most people say my handwriting and lettering looks like a spastic toddler on a sugar-high in an earthquake.

I love it! It looks angrier than the typeface.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What if we like spastic sugar high lettering? Did you think of that?

throw me a shit-eating grin

Referring back to this familiar phrase, I was told in college by a friend that the full derivation of this phrase was: "he had a grin like a fox eating shit out of a wire brush." Anybody every heard that?

Elsewise, why would a shit-eating grin be the grin of getting away with something?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jess, what I did with Emmett and we're also doing with Matilda when they're near the stove is I stop them, pick them up, indicate the stove then say: "No. HOT! HOT!!" and pull my hand away. They usually get the concept fairly quickly and Matilda has extended the meaning to anything that is bad or undesirable.

"Matilda, would you like some cheerios?"
"HOT!!" [pulling her hand away]

"Here, letter dude, take this illegible scrawl and make it legible... but look the same!!

Good luck. Oh, and here's a gun with one bullet."

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

"What sort of proto-person wrought this unholy primitive claptrap on an innocent and undeserving world?"

A KERFUFFLE BUNNY!!!!!

(likes the handwritten too)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"Matilda, would you like some cheerios?"
"HOT!!" [pulling her hand away]

Okay, that is seriously cute.

I agree that the hand-written KB was somehow kerflufflier. And the typewritten letters are too small to be easily legible. There is a comic-book lettering font out there - I don't remember what it's called though. (NOT Comic sans. A better one.)
