[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Jars are you still considering coming to So Cal?
We're definitely considering it. It's our fallback position if DH gets laid off, which is not hugely unlikely as we all just got letters mentioning 'necessary redundancies' in the near future. He's in an okay position though, and I don't think he's top of the list to go, but we'll see.
I'm looking at places I can maybe do a PHd in archaeology down there. I'd have to do a GRE, which I still haven't figured out what it is yet.
The GRE is a standardized test for grad school admittance. You'll do fine.
I ate an excellent burrito for lunch, with pico de gallo and everything! A bit messy but worth it. Yum. The weather is beautiful here for the moment so I took a walk to take advantage.
No news on the Taz front yet. Hope we hear something (good) soon!

We could have a study group! If I decide to go to grad school, that is...
Back from County Clerk's office. Very small line, no protesters, just a handfull of same sex couples - but they all were so happy and there was such a great vibe. My friends had actually gotten their license last night but found a mistake that needed to get fixed. They were so bouncy and happy to share their joy with me, it was cute.
I went to turn in my California Notary journal. Am no longer a notary.

GRE=Graduate Record Exam. It's your standard fill in the circles thing.
The website is here [link]
and they have a test site in Dublin.
Oh, Suzi, that's so cool. YAY for friends so happy and being part of it.
sigh. I do love Dublin. You'd be leaving a very charming city for a rather not-so-pretty city if you came to LA. I mean, I love LA, but it ain't pretty.
Tour groups on Segways.
snarl.
Unsurprisingly, I see a lot of them when I'm running on the weekend. Thankfully, there's too much of a hill between the Wharf and North Beach, otherwise I'm sure they'd infest NB, too.

\\o/!
Suzi, did I ever send you Cobra Starship? Also, FOUR DAYS UNTIL WARPED!
Thanks for the link, Vortex.

I know, but it's DH's turn, really, as he moved to Ireland for me in the first place, then to Cork for the job I got here, and was unemployed for two months into the bargain because of it.
