We could always look at pretty pictures just for fun.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
This article about the flooding at the U of Iowa hit me hard:
An estimated 2,000 volunteer sandbaggers waged a valiant effort Friday and Saturday to protect the campus, including the Main Library and the Lindquist Center, which houses the university's computer system.
U of I Librarian Nancy Baker supervised what she called "a triage operation" at the Main Library as volunteers tried to rescue the most valuable of the half-million volumes in the basement.
"We got what we felt was the most critical (materials) out of the basement," Baker said. "We couldn't move everything."
She echoed Mason: "Now we just wait."
There's a visceral "books! Noooo!" running through my head.
I went to UI... for like, a year. Still those pictures are freaking me out. I spent a lot of time around that river.
Yes, I saw where the river was in relation to the library on the news yesterday. Not. Good.
And they had students in town! (I guess we do now too - summer school starts tomorrow.)
Go Emmett!!
Happy Father's Day Buffista Dads!
I wish people would learn that even though a video game calls for four quarters you still have to put them in one at a time.
Laga, I'm trying to imagine how *else* you would do that, and I'm coming up blank.
they jam them in the slot side-by-side and they get stuck and the people don't say anything so more people come and force their quaters in behind until there's a big log-jam of quarters and eventually someone tells me the machine ate their quarters. I just fished four dollars out of a coin slot with a key.
Either the coin slot is too wide or they are slapping them in too quickly. I'm betting on the former.
