Angel: If I'm not back in a couple of hours— Gunn: You're dead, we're screwed, end of the world.

'Underneath'

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Here's another picture of Evelyn Nesbit, from when she was a little older, I think: [link]

t snerk on Richard Hatch...

Hmm. Nesbit, oddly enough, looks a bit too much like she could be a sister or cousin of my character's main love interest, especially through the eyes and nose, and I want them a contrasty couple rather than a matchy one. Hmm...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You know when I was reading all those Evelyn Nesbit books growing up, I didn't realize she was a freakin' hottie.

In other exciting news, Emmett was one of 12 kids in his league named to the 11 y.o. All-Star team.

Hmm, I think my character might look a little like Hortense de Beauharnais, only not as sad and with a shorter nose and a firmer chin.

Which is kinda weird, because it's perfectly possible that Hortense herself might show up in this series eventually...

it's hard to find girls with dark hair and light eyes. Another dark haired brown-eyed beauty is Eve Myles.

Ooh, I've got her! She's Olivia de Havilland, but with light eyes! (I went paging through Best Actress nominee/winner wikipedia pages, and as soon as I saw a picture of her as someone other than Melanie Wilkes, I knew I'd found my character.)

Thanks, y'all--this helped, even though I ended up finding someone else, because it helped me clarify what I was looking for.

Wow, that's awesome! I'm not really surprised, but it's still great news!

Am awake and eating a popsicle (one of the sugar water in a plastic tube kind). The tummy is deigning to accept it.
