Well, look who just popped open a fresh can of venom.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Steph, I was going to suggest Imodium, but it sounds like you may not want that. I'm guessing it's most likely something you ate, not the OB exam.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

the exam might not be the cause of sudden exodus, but the timing sounds right. And actually -- if everyone is leaving that fast it might be best to let nature take her course. tomorrow should be soon enough. My worst case - zero control situation, I was fine even though I didn't see a doctor until the am

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Got pseudo stood up/(series of unfortunate events)-ed

Okay, that sucks. What happened?

Steph, health-ma to you, love! (Although I didn't read the whitefont.)

First World Glee:

Today the Year 5 kids got my Starbucks order right! AND their teacher said I couldn't pay, because they messed up yesterday's order - and dealing with customer satisfaction is, after all, part of what they're learning. Yay for latte!

Aha! CrazyBlindDate Guy! 'kay, yeah, I like it.

Krispy Kremes are always and wholly associated with Xander in my head, because it's not a brand I had ever heard of prior to BtVS. And then we ate them at the F2F. And they were gooood.

Jilli - have just started reading Vampire Kisses, despite the slightly unpromising front cover, and am utterly disarmed by how totally the protagonist seems to be Wee!Jilli. Quite possibly the cutest thing evah. Bless.

I KNOW!! I mean, I realize that I'm possibly unreasonably attached to the series because the protagonist is kindasortareally Wee!Jilli, but the books are quite good.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

Yes, Fay, it has been commented by the Jilli herself on the Wee!Jilliness.

Somehow, that sentence looks even sillier written down...

eta: heh. Wee!Jilli xpost

I swear, when Tickybox is a bit older, I'm going to start reading that book to her.

Aww, that sucks. I hear ya, though--was expecting girl to show up tonight, and she didn't. BOO. If you're too afraid to show up, then don't email me today like you're going to, eh? At least be all "probably can't make it" rather than acting like you're going to, so you have an out, right? I hadn't responded to the email yet, and now I'm not sure if I should be all "So, WTF?" or just figure the ball is in her court, even though technically by emial chain it's in mine. (GILF, of course, did NOT show up, even after being all "if I come, I'd bring [daughter] and [baby], could the baby sleep in your room?" forcing me to clean my bedroom, as well as the common area)

However, the four people who did show up (out of like, eight who said they would? or more?) were awesome, and fun, and I enjoyed sucking them in to the madness of So You Think You Can Dance.

Possible favorite moment of the evening, though--as they were leaving, friend E, who I met through GILF: I'm talking about learning how to lead in dancing, and she also started as a follow and has been learning to lead. I say that I recently managed to lead Billy around, and she'd like "Who?" and I say "[GILF]'s latest..." and she rolls her eyes. And I'm like "Heh. Well, she's really sweet" and E rolls her eyes again and goes "Sure. They always are." And it made me laugh and laugh, because E is GILF's friend. Hee.

meara, I'm sorry I couldn't make it tonight. I promise I will try and be there for the next time, because I do want to watch SYTYCD with you.

The Girl didn't show up? Booo!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

There's now a Krispy Kreme store in the shopping centre below my office tower. But I never visit them, because there's also a Donut King, and they make hot, fresh cinnamon donuts, against which I am powerless. (And which Wallybee brought home yesterday for an after-dinner treat. She's such a sweetie.)
