our movers actually sent an estimator over first. he told them xxx book boxes and they came in loaded for bear. "this is a tiny house! that guy's off his gourd!... oh. crap."
this was the first time anyone has ever moved us. It was pretty awesome. We were also not paying for it.
MUST FINALIZE MOVERS SITUATION SOON! Ack! Stress. me? NO! ACK!
Omnis - do not, I repeat DO NOT hire movers that do not come to look at your stuff and give you an estimate. Seriously. Also make sure you get a Not to Exceed total.
I'm not moved yet, but that is what my research taught me.
Back from OB/GYN appt. She couldn't feel any fibroids on manual exam, but when she palpated my stomach (from the outside), it hurt really badly, in several places. So she wrote me an order for an ultrasound. I'ma try to fit it in before vacation, but things are getting tight.
t edit
Tight in terms of time, not my pants. (Although there's that, too.)
I appreciate very much that she took me seriously instead of pooh-poohing it, or attributing it to Zoloft withdrawal (which, don't get me wrong, could be a factor, but I don't think it can be the sole cause), or even worse, just telling me I was fat.
(Which, er, I am, but that's not actually a disease.)
And now I'm home early, and being barked at, so I have to resume my endless role as hapless doorman to the canines.
Steph, I hope it turns out to be something not-terrible. And I'm glad the doctor didn't just wave it off without checking.
Good to hear about a doctor treating you well and kindly and right, Tep. Way too many people here have way too many horror stories of the opposite.
And, because I've been running around with half a brain all day, I forgot to say {{{DJ}}} and {{{DJ's friend}}} with many years of good meds~ma and continued-medical-advances~ma as well.
Did I mention that I'd gone for a skin cancer screening? as a pale person, it seems I'm a high risk ... and I had a mole that concerned me. I seem to be OK, although they did a biopsy of that mole to make sure, but I seem to have quite a variety of non-malignant skin things. I go to Georgetown hospital for my medical care and, since it's a teaching hospital, I frequently have someone being instructed on me. I'm now wondering if I could pick up a little extra cash as a dermatological teaching tool ....
I'm so sorry about your friend, DJ. Also agree that with current treatments, hopefully he'll still live a full and active life.
ION, SQUEE! I got totally spoiled today - got a Cartier Love bracelet!! I've wanted one forever but couldn't justify the $$. GF said to get it as we are thinking about getting married. It's my "wedding ring." THE PRETTY!!!!
Shit another Tornado Warning, they just sent out a company wide email.
