Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But but but! It's lovely and cool and gloomy now!

No, it's cold and windy and miserable. It's March weather. I wouldn't be complaining if we were having days that stayed in the 60s. It's when, in mid-June, 55 is a balmy afternoon, that I get cranky.

Part of this is that I like to wear skirts, but tights and stockings both wind up causing me discomfort. So summer is when I get to wear skirts, comfortably. But I can't. On account of sucktastic weather.

vw, I like the blue white combination not only because of its summery fun-ness, but because dark colors attract mosquitoes.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We're having a nice warm summer rain right now. I need to be making out with someone in it.

Whiskey and smokes:

Now 4:00 meeting is pushed to 4:15 and I have an added task.

Never leaving ever.

It's been chilly-for-Utah around here, afternoons in the low 70s. I wish I could cling to this weather forever, because I know in four weeks we'll be looking at 100s.

Plei is me. I like 60s just fine. Sunny and 68 is just about perfect (though not for the tomato plants on our deck). But this 50's with wind and rain has got to go. I'm sick of my winter clothes and not being able to read at the bus stop because it's raining, among other things.

I tracked down the Vermont Country Store, because they have nummy fudge. Unfortunately, they don't ship chocolate or cheese at this time of year, which is wise but disappointing.

However, they do have

The Vermont Country Store, that bastion of old-timey products and things my Grandma used, also sells . . .

Vibrators.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, OW, connie. Now my brain hurts too.

But Jilli, the sunshine sets off your gloominess like a rare jewel in a perfect setting! Weather-gloom just blends everything into a uniform...gloom. (she buying it?)

JZ, that is a delightfully wonderful gift. And thank you for my afternoon puzzle of figuring out how to see it. So naughty!

Pete and Plei, I'm sorry you guys are getting early-spring weather. DH would be rolling around in it with glee, were he there, and is dreadfully jealous as it is. If I could, I'd waft some of this 97F your way. As you say, a compromise in temperatures.
