Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Somebody tell me something nice; I'm having a really crap day.

I think about you often and with tremendous fondness, Daisy. God gave you everything necessary to be a hillbilly sex goddess, and you went out and made yourself this very cool, stylish, kind, thoughtful human. You're extremely generous - not only in your actions, but in your heart. You give people more than the benefit of the doubt. You really extend yourself. Plus, also, the very pretty mixed with the incredibly easy going, fun-to-be-with thing.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ION:

Cancer continues to suck it.

I loved Sex in the City and watched it with great enjoyment. Usually on Sunday nights with the Sopranos. That was some appointment TV.

The glare - as it turns out - is exceptionally bad at 2:27. I'm squinting like a...well, in future you can all reference me as the most squinty thing. "It was so bright at the beach, I was squinting like Hec at the umbrella farm job."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also, Fay, L totally has a weird way of sitting. Hee.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

DJ, you've gotten some fabulous support here, and I can't do better than that, so I'm just going to nod and point, and wish like crazy you feel better after your post-work drinks with friend.

Susan, I'm so sorry for that family. How awful, and stupid, and random cancer is.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yeah, fuck cancer alright. That's a tragic story Susan.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

So, billytea, will the Queen be dropping by to award the honor, or will her local representatives be doing the job?

Hee. It shall be her local reps, though my parents had met the Queen before.

For billytea, in honor of his father's, um, honor.

Aww. Daddytea couldn't be here today, so I am honoured to accept these marmosets on his behalf.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

With marmoset, you get earworm.

So, if I've met billytea, and his dad has met the Queen, how many degrees does that make me from the Queen?? DUDE!!!!

Susan's cancer story sucks. Wow. A LOT.

I used to sometimes enjoy certain episodes/situations of Sex/city, but didn't much like the characters, if that makes any sense. The outfits were ridiculous, and the plots and love lives over the top, but sometimes there were indeed things that rang true. But I felt like that was the writing and the show, not the characters? I don't feel any need to see the movie.
