Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Fay, cute haircut!

And, oh, I read the first volume of Death Note last night, and it's pretty sweet. I'm interested in seeing where the story goes and how it lasts for eleven more volumes without getting repetitive.

Also, Light is a psycho, L is either way too smart or reading over my shoulder, and Ryuk is awesome.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Wowza! That hair cut is awesome, Fay! You've always had beautiful eyes, but this cut really brings them out by framing them so perfectly. Gorgeous!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Fay, that is a fantastic haircut.

Teppy, good luck finding the brace and with the injection.

Suzi, good luck with the rental, and cubical selection.

Thanks, guys! You folks are the bestest!

PC - Yay Death Note!

Oh, believe me, there are twisty twists and turny turns. And I heart L beyond the telling of it.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Ooooh, love Fay's new hair!

IOmeN, the crack has worn off and i am now very tired and my left knee hurts a LOT.

THis sucks, because my new doctor is crap. My new health insurance is crap. Kaiser now looks like a halycyon oasis of top notch medical care by comparison.

Apparently, Kaiser California and Kaiser Northwest are completely separate entities, so when i moved one state north I lost Kaiser coverage (go figure) and got switched over to PacifCare. I went to the office a couple of days ago because of the ear/tmj issue. Everyone was quite friendly but the place is stuck in the 1970's technologically. They took my pulse with a stopwatch. BP with one of those ancient mounted on the wall dials. DIdn't even bother taking my temperature, which is good, because i suspect it would have involved a rectal thermometer. When it came time to get prescriptions filled, OMG. Most inneficient pharmacy EVER. I asked the pharamcist to check that my BCP was covered (on the phone no one would tell me for sure) before filling the prescription as i would fill a different, less wonderful script if the preferred script were not in their formulary (or whatever the parliance is.) (This has been an ongoing problem for me, because the wonderful wonderful pill that works so very well for me is not covered by many insurance plans, but a checmically similar one that is almost identical except that it makes me constantly crave chocolate milkshakes usually is and i can live with that when it is a different of $60/month). She looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. Like it was totally impossible or i was speaking some strange foreign language. She smelled like a nursing home. I wanted to run away. The whole place was like an episode of the twilight zone.

Honestly, i'd rather have abrupt and slightly ornery medical caregivers who know what they are doing than really nice but slightly clueless ones with backdated technology. Health care is one area where customer service does NOT matter to me as much as capability. Big time.

Yeah, i have zero faith in this medical institution. Really need full time job with better insurance! And for my knee to stop hurting soon. Naprosyn is not enough. Don't think a muscle relaxer will help but if it still hurts when i get home i shall pop one of those and go to bed early :(

erin, that's rotten. Health-ma to you!

He's like Detective Gary Stu!

Well, he's spookily bright & has mad omniscience-fu - but he's got crappy social skills, and the sweets, and the weird way of sitting, and...oh, I'll not spoil you. But I fucking LOVE him. (she typed, glancing fondly at her big honkin' L wristwatch. Which is visible in one of the photos, actually, I think.)
