Huh. Boggling seems very much the proper reaction to that... type, I guess, of vampire.
Hi Suzi! Long time no see.
Speaking of corsets, I just tried mine on and it looks like I'll be giving it away. It's the one that I wore to the SF2F, for those that might recall. I simply don't have the chest for it anymore. Bummer. But that means I'll get to buy a new one. Yay!
Jilli, I ended up buying Twilight because of what you posted about it. It really is a fun comedy, even if it isn't meant to be.
sj, I hope you purchased it used. IJS.
sj - don't forget her surname. She thinks she's an ugly duckling! But
really
she's a swan! SWAN! Ho ho!
bangs head on desk.
...mind you, I can definitely see the appeal of reading them like comedies. I have a similar (albeit guilty) approach to Laurell K Hamilton's supernatural pornapalooza. It's a bit like a drinking game. I feel I need to keep reading until Anita
finally
shags a girl, and
finally
takes it up the ass.
(...um. We will try to ignore the fact that I secretly like Nathaniel, despite the fact that he has ankle-length red hair. And Edward, of course, because he is awesome. From a safe distance. And because I still cling to the faint hope that he might actually kill Anita one of these days.)
Oh, looky. The Twilight movie trailer is out.
sj, I hope you purchased it used. IJS.
Eh, I got it on sale, but I have found it entertaining enough to be worth it.

I couldn't get past the PotC reference on Swan.
Cashmere, just nudging to remind you of

for mommyfont if you don't want to use the quick edit tag. Iffen you don't want me to remind, hush me.
Thanks, ita. With enough reminders and I'll remember to use it!
Oh, and Tep, if you're around, I heard your theme song today.
Holy crap! That is the best thing in the history of best things! And her sidekick is a monkey!!!
I wonder if I can get an adult-sized "Word Girl" t-shirt?
Hey there, lovely! Have you read Evernight yet? (Claudia Gray)
I heard about it while perusing my LJ FriendsFriends list; after reading the synopsis at Amazon, I decided I'd like to read it, but only via the library. So whenever they get it, I'll read it.
I'm currently awaiting David Schwartz's book Superpowers, which should ship on June 10. (David Schwartz, for those who don't know, was a Buffista back in the day. He was part of the multitude of Davids, which led to the renaming of the Davids -- he became Knut the Difficult [this is all recorded somewhere in the FAQ].)
I am slowly amassing an entire shelf's worth of books by Buffistas/former Buffistas. That pleases me to no end.
Yeah, I was going to say that Evernight, while not my beautiful cake, or whatever that phrase is (clearly that phrase, also not my [whatever phrase is]) was written by an awesome fannish LJer sort, so I respect that, even if the teeny vampire thing ain't my cuppa.
Yep yep yep to both awesome fannish types and teeny vampire things.
