Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

You know what's frustrating about waiting to receive an inheritance that's entirely composed of a single stock? Watching that stock's price per share plummet $10 in two weeks, that's what.

I know, in the big scheme of things, that's a "my diamond shoes are too tight" issue. Or, you know, I won't be able to afford quite so many diamonds on my shoes. The stock would have to take a nosedive of colossal epic proportions to not enable us to at least pay off all our debts. But still. If we'd gotten it two months ago, we could've diversified our portfolio by now!

Whee! I just requested the United States of Arugula from my library network.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've spent the better part of today going through he stuff I left behind at Mom's when I moved out years ago. So much junk. I think with all of the money I spent on magazines, craft supplies, and knick knacks, I could have had a house by now. The salvation army is getting quite a few boxes of still nice stuff today.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

How on earth did Ellie get to be so big? Unpossible. Seriously, I know she's got a baby brother now, but wasn't Frisco born last week, and I'm fairly sure Ellie was brand new just last month. Happy B-day, Ellie!

Hee! Mistress Matisse published a letter I sent her re: where to get cheap corsets! On her blog, that is. I feel all speshul. (Someone had written in asking her where to get a good corset cheap, and she was like "eh?" and I emailed saying "meschantes! and supercheap, if only underbust and not custom, timless trends!)

Hee! Mistress Matisse published a letter I sent her re: where to get cheap corsets!

That was you?!? I read that this morning! (Also, my corset is Meschantes, and I got it really inexpensively on eBay, and when I read Mistress Matisse's first post about the person asking about cheap corsets, all I could think was, MY corset didn't cost $500, and it's exceptionally good quality.)

That's so cool!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ha! Go with the people promoting Meschantes!

(oooh, I need a new corset. Yes I do.)
