Oh Seanie. And sj, too. Those experiences sound horrifying! Yeesh.
I do have a ton of respect for parents. They likely possess about eight gabillion pounds more of patience than I'll ever have. Thank goodness Mike feels the same way I do about not wanting to have kids.

Interestingly enough, the night didn't try our patience so much as our pathos. Neither of us ever really felt end-of-our-rope because of the sobbing, but our hearts were just breaking all night long.
Preview starts in 30 minutes, then an hour show, a few minutes of notes and then hopefully I get to go home. Yay!
I kinda want to see a movie tonight. I'm almost tempted to make it Speed Racer even thought I know how bad it is going to be.
C & L showed up and took Adison with them when they left. Yay! And now I'll pop a vicodin and a dramamine and take a nap. Thanks for the advice y'all. And for just being around in general.
Have a good nap, Nicole! You're a brave woman, doing that so soon after surgery.
Just heard back from the Japanese swordsmanship instructor.
Have you read
Autumn Lightning
[link] It's both the personal experiences of a student of kenjutsu and how kenjutsu reached its height as an art just before it became largely obsolete as a fighting method.
"In the changing of the times, they were like autumn lightning, a thing out of season, an empty promise of rain that would fall unheeded on fields already bare."
I skipped ahead to say I'm posting from home because o_a brought me a keyboard AIFG! He's my hero.

I haven't. I really don't know much about it, actually. I just saw the class in the community college course catalog. For my research interests, I really ought to be fencing instead, but this is a lot cheaper and more convenient, and I figure it'll still make my swordfighting scenes better than they are now! And I'll either love it for its own sake, discover a new interest, and stick with it, or I'll switch to fencing when my budget permits and unlearn/relearn as needed.
Uh oh. We're having a thunderstorm. Toto HATES thunderstorms. Poor punkin' is just shaking and practically sitting on top of my laptop.
