You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I asked my housemates; no takers for the position of Ellen Tigh.

I wish we'd had a chance to make things more bearable before SH left.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I tend to think it's relatively easy for tensions to run high in this kind of game, for a few reasons. It's a team game, so everyone else's actions are your business. The deceit and paranoia element is high. The theme is strong, which leads to some good role-playing, but it's still a board game that players are cometing with each other to win, so in-character and out-of-character stuff gets blurred. Finally, in a forum setting there's no body language to take the edge off any conflicts.

It might be worth while working out some monkey-grooming protocols to help with disputes. In the meantime, Liese has agreed to take on the role of Ellen for the rest of the game. Won't you all make her feel vaguely distrusted and possibly a little skanky?

Meanwhile, Starbuck, you have received an XO. You can either move and take an action, or not move and take two actions. When you're ready, please post your orders.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Business as usual, then.

billytea, my Super Crisis Card says that if I play it, Galactica explodes into a million pieces and I automatically win. Am I hallucinating? I knew sitting next to Roslin was bad for my health.

definitely don't take any of Roslin's "special" aspirin.

I am sure you do not mistrust my impeccable hair. And any doubt you have as to my veracity is only because you are so cowed by my obvious although ever so slightly past my prime beauty.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Alright, scouting time. Come on Lords of Kobol, give us a good destination.

Action 1A: Activate the Hanger Deck to launch into Sector 5. (I realize we're jumping soon, but it's effectively a free action at this point and it never hurts to have a viper in space.)

Action 1B: Play a LS1 on Destination Deck

Action 2 will depend on the results of Action 1.

Has cylon technology reprogrammed my brain? I don't remember this in the game I played or ran (the last two).

I take that back. I don't recall much of an issue during the game you ran, but there was some grousing in the previous game.

I know what it's like for everyone to think you're a cylon when you're not (and I'm about to find out again) but I really don't understand what happened with StuntHusband.

I don't know him, so this would be complete speculation, but my guess would be that he felt like he was saving the day (ie using his OPG to steal the Admiralship from the suspected Cylon and doubling our distance travelled) only to find everyone turn on him. Which I admit, has to feel pretty sucky.

Honestly, when I got BTs email, my thought was "Wow, that's a risky gamble, but it might pay off. 3 fuel to do 2 distance is definitely managable with a little luck." Then I came into the thread and discovered we only had 2 fuel and we'd need a lot of luck to limp our way to Kobol. Which led me to the conclusion Ellen had purposely tanked our fuel supply because she was a Cylon. Accusations and desire to airlock then followed, which in retrospect were probably worded more harshly than they needed to be.

I have no offers to play an SP.

Die roll = 8. Success! Prepare to receive a Destination.

It's not ideal, but beggars can't be choosers. We'll leave it on top.

For my second action, I'll play another LS1 and scout the Crisis Deck.
