Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG

I'm afraid I can't help at all with this check.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Couple of questions. If someone were to play God's Plan, Sabotage, or Human Weakness into this check, they'd count positive (thanks to Ellen) and not trigger anything to happen, is that right?

Correct. By Your Command, Broadcast Location and Special Destiny are the cards that will trigger an additional consequence.

And if we pass, our distance travelled will advance but we won't jump as such, am I reading that right? The basestar and raiders will stay right where they are with us.

Also correct.

Now, before we go any further, a little housekeeping. I forgot about Ellen's ability. Since she ended her Movement phase in the same location as Dee, she can be Politically Adroit. She passes a card to Dee and draws 2 Leadership. (I'm allowing it because Ellen's skill set is negative for this check anyway, and as a new Pegasus rule, I'm chalking it up to teething problems.)

I have passes on interrupts from everyone else. Thanks to Ellen's interrupts, Treachery now counts positive, and this is a Reckless skill check. We may now begin. Helo is up first. (Note that I've received COs from Gaeta. Everyone else, feel free to send me COs for your play too.)

Destiny: 2 Cards

Gaeta: COs received

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

BSG

I play 2 cards.

By CO, Ellen passes on playing cards. And the cards played are...

Purple (LS) 2
Purple (LS) 2
Purple (SP) 3
Purple (CS) 3
Red (RI) 5
Treachery (GP) 2
Blue (SR) 4

Tally: 17 - 4 = 13. Fail!

However! By CO, President Roslin plays a DE-5 to reduce the difficulty by 2. The check passes! The Fleet is now 1 Distance closer to Kobol!

No Treachery cards are triggered by the check's Recklessness.

Finally, the basestar launches 3 more raiders. That concludes Ellen's turn. Helo, I'm sending you your cards. You skip your move and action on your first turn, so once I've dealt with all the administration, it'll be time for another Crisis.
