Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

in non-BSG news...

I'm so obsessed with Dominion, I've been pitting my toys against each other, trying different strategies.

Ratzo has played three games in a row drawing NO action cards and he has won. every. time.

The next game the centaur is playing with a witch so we'll see if ratzo's strategy holds up.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ha, awesome! I always have an itching to play.

Action cards are deceptive! They look so fun and cool, but Treasure is where it's at. Initially, like pretty much all new players, I bought lots of action cards to play with them, but then I learned that you have to balance your deck. Playing without ANY action cards doesn't seem as fun, though.

The next game the centaur is playing with a witch so we'll see if ratzo's strategy holds up.

Well, even if he uses up all the Curses, Ratzo will still have a shitload of money to buy Provinces. Of course he'll be drawing a lot of Curses too, so maybe it'll work.

The centaur won the next round and the treant won the round after that. I'm glad Ratzo's strategy didn't hold up, that would have kind of wrecked the game.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

I suppose I should start reading the board again then.

re: Cottle - he's in Exodus, but not as a playable PC. He's a supporting character, used in one of the 3 variants in the box.

IMO, Exodus is mostly unnecessary complication - though the Cylon Fleet (replaces the random Cylon ship stuff on Crisis cards) is a fascinating alternative. They're ALWAYS there, lurking on their own board. Sometimes it does something like throws ships at you - sometimes it just lurks, gloating in the distance.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I love his Ally write-up. If you encounter happy funtimes Cottle, he fixes you up quick-smart. If you get bitter/dark Cottle, you're subjected to the debilitating effects of second-hand smoke.

I like the concept of all the different parts of the Ionian Nebula, but I'm not sure how well they work in practice. (There's one Crossroads card that seems to be "Pick a Cylon and kick them out of the game", for instance.) I don't think I'd play Exodus at all without the Cylon Fleet though. Aside from it sounding like fun, the new Crisis Cards don't have any Cylon attacks. Without the Cylon Fleet, then, attacks would become too rare.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcom the crew of the sixth flight of the Battlestar Buffistica. All players have been able to take their first pick. We have three characters from the base game, two from Pegasus and one from Exodus. I've randomised the turn order and it will be:

Anastasia "Dee" Dualla (NoiseDesign)
Ellen Tigh (StuntHusband)
Admiral Karl "Helo" Agathon (Polter-Cow)
President Laura Roslin (-t)
Felix Gaeta (Laga)
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (Kalshane)

Loyalty Cards are going out. Everyone except Dee, please post your choice of starting skill cards (choose three cards from your normal draw). I'll then post the starting set-up and we will start with Dee's turn.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

BSG

Woo! Looks like a fun crowd.

I'll take 2 Y and 1 G, please.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

BSG

I feel compelled to choose R G B.

No can do, I'm afraid; your normal card draw allows you to take either Green or Blue, but not both; your starting card draw follows the same restriction.
