Chief?

Note, even if you don't play into the check, you will have to discard a card, so please post what that is separately.

Hmph. You are not helping me out, people. Because a) not letting me play my free card and b) not tipping your hands with any nefarious activity!

I play nothing into the check. I discard my Y1 and decline to brig anyone.

I just don`t have enough evidence yet, although I do have my suspicions because I`m paranoid like that. But I don`t want to waste cards or make it easier for the Cylons if I guess wrong. It`s a bit of a shame to miss the opportunity, but I want to play it wise here.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

My boîte has mail? That sounds kinky.

Any suggestions for my turn? While you ponder that, here's what I think of you all:

President Ferret: up next, so I won't be XOing him. Strong play for this check including the IC, looks good. Conversely, may have feared we'd use it to brig him if he didn't look helpful. Still, it makes a good impression.

Helo: didn't use the Chief's XO to reveal. Also helped. May be waiting for something better, maybe with his OPG. Like the son I never had.

Chief: Didn't reveal. Didn't use the GbC check to brig someone. Also has a OPG that could hurt us at a crucial moment.

Starbuck: Could be a double Cylon. I've heard about them. Though if that were the case, I'd have expected her to pass off her other loyalty card last turn.

Me: Leaderhips! Doesn't know the meaning of the word "surrender". I mean, I know it, I'm not dumb... just not in this context! When given the opportunity to doom all of humanity, didn't.

Ok, so I'm none the wiser. Whoever is the other Cylon is apparently willing to play along and hold out for a big reveal. Which simultaneously makes me nervous and reassured about XOs.

Anyone have a particularly compelling argument as to why I should XO them?

I could scout - I guess we want crises that advance the jump track and/or destinations that use fuel efficiently. I assure you I'm human.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

BSG

I think what you meant was, I have a OPG that could HELP us immensely. I dunno, man, constantly underrated by the biggest authority figure in my life. This is because I'm an NCO, isn't it?

But actually, I have very little I could do right now if given an XO. So I guess you could go with the son that was like the daughter that was like the son you never had. Except that "I assure you I'm human" is pretty exactly what he'd say if he were not, in fact, human.

I'm not like the other son that was more of a toaster than a daughter that he never had! Imaginary sibling rivalry is the worst.

BSG

The danger with scouting is that no one else can check your work. Dammit. I have no good handle on whom to suspect.

Ok, I dislike not XOing, but it might be for the best until someone acts suspicious. Whoever is the Cylon is holding out for a big payoff, and I don't want to give them the chance. It's time. Time that the people of the fleet shared in my accumulated wisdom.

Admiralissimo Adama, how do you propose to secure humanity's survival?

"Babies, chum! Tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!"

Admiralissimo, what's with all the ninja references? Aren't we fighting the Cylons?

"Ninjas can breathe underwater! They can dodge bullets at point blank range! They can walk up the sides of buildings! They can install telephones!"

Admiralissimo, what's been the worst day of your command?

"The details are classified, but I can tell you that I learned many things that day. First, the world looks a lot different when you're six inches tall and covered with feathers. Second, two heads are definitely not better than one. And finally, you can lay eggs and still feel like a man."

Admiral, --

"Admiralissimo. We've been through this."

Admiral...issimo. Yes. There's a growing belief in the fleet that you are... not to put to fine a point on it, barking mad. How can any of us accept that you are in fact fit for command?

"Isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit."

Ok, Your Frenchness, that should do it! Politicise me!
