Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

I continue to be reassured that the high distance cards don't actually exist.

YES for the gods' sake, send out the godsdamned raptor! No point in sidetrekking like this without trying to get something out of it.

Wow. That was sucktastic. We lost weapons. We have two people in sickbay (myself included) and somehow with three destinations to choose from, they all only had 1 distance. Grrr. Hopefully the bonus to food works out. Sadly, I have no interrupts to lend.

How is this possible? Tigh wasn't there.

I think it's only because Sickbay isn't a valid target.

C'mon, you gotta be more optimistic than that. On the upside:
1) We jumped automatically and didn't lose population.
2) We only lost one fuel, and have a chance to gain food.
3) Tigh is getting out of sickbay for sure. Hopefully, with his card draw, we can spring Chief.

Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!... And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!

--We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
--We're just the guys to do it.

Hey, I'm not throwing in the towel. I'm just saying that for that turn, that was a pretty crappy series of events.

Or maybe getting blown up just makes me cranky.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Or maybe getting blown up just makes me cranky.

Clearly we need to build up a broader database of reactions to getting blown up. Ideally we would blow you up several more times to fill out the range of its impact on your mood. I propose we use repeatedly blowing up Tigh as a control group.

You know, over the last cycle or two it seems that on average, the humans get luckier on the Cylon turns, and the Cylons do better on the human turns.

While dealing cards to Helo, the Leadership deck was reshuffled.

Helo has his new cards. Miracle of miracles, Helo left CO's for his action and move!

MOVE: None, stays put.

ACTION: Plays G1 to XO Tigh.

Sir? What would you like to do?

I would like to get to frakking Kobol already!

Okay, in seriousness.

I move to the Research lab.

For my action, I will draw a... hmm... purple or blue? We only have one guy who can draw blue but that's Chief and he can repair things, but otoh if we get a rare blue card crisis that could help and I get purples on my turn but the chance of a SP would be nice.

Okay, I draw a Purple card.

PS: While I wasn't in weapons control, it is one of the few other place I've been this game besides sickbay and the research lab. Though I've never actually been to the admiral's quarters that I can recall... because someone keeps blowing it up!
