OK, I have CO's from everyone now on this roll. We need a 6 or better to jump the fleet without killing anyone. The Magic 8 ball rolls a 2!

Ouch. Just as one of the civilian ships FTL doesn't spin up. Helo enacts his once per turn ability to re-roll! And that roll is: 1! Ouch. Sorry about that. Since you are in the Blue -1 spot on the jump track, then we drop a population to make this jump. E-mail being formed to the Admiral to pick a destination. Once that is decided, we will go with action #2.

While we wait for the Admiral to make a choice, I have dealt the two yellow cards to the Chief. He took the last of the deck, so Politics has been reshuffled.

eta: Also, while we are passing along info. With the jump (when it's decided on destination) it will clear the communications jamming, so now you can activate Comm's and move ships.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

BSG

Well, that didn't work.

I still feel good about our chances. Population is still doing okay, and hopefully we'll get a good jump that takes us more than 1 distance. With both toasters reveled, Crisises are going to be harder to pass and resources are going to take a beating, so the faster we can make progress, the better.

Well, that didn't work.

Well, at least we didn't waste an SP. And we needed to jump.

And Gemenon chooses to stay behind, because Gemenon knows how to ROCK!! Am I right? Yeah, you know it.

With both toasters reveled

TOTALLY reveled. You would not believe the revels here. We wrote the Book of REVEL-ation here. REVEL NATION, know what I'm saying? We're revels without a cause. Revels without a pause, that's the basestar life.

Sorry, what were we talking about again?

I picked the card with the highest distance on it...

Which is 2.

And we lose 2 fuel.

But I reckon if we can survive to jumping one more time we will make that Distance 8.

Excellent. For those of you playing at home, that is Barren Planet card.

I've already done the yellow cards for action 2. So that draws us to the end of the move/action phase. Onto Crisis phase! Let's see what the Gods of Kobul have in store for you.

The good news is, if Helo doesn't like the choice he makes, he can use his OPG to change his mind.

So, what do people think?

While I wait to hear from people, and unrelated to this particular check (which is one of the hardest left in the deck for our lowest resource), I just wanted to throw out that, if we have ICs, it may be better to use them on the turns right before the toasters when we can find out what we are getting into before playing cards. (Again, this might not apply here since it's so important and Zarek and I probably both can help on the tail end.)
