not sure what Zarek would have been doing drinking from that.
post coital swish? After all, in the show, the Admiral and the President hook up. Slash fic meets BSG game? eh. Never mind.
When I get home, I'll hash through the e-mails, and post results and all that fun stuff.

Yes, all discards are open. Inquiring minds want to know!

I have CO's from our President. He says:
MOVE:
None. Stays put.
ACTION:
Draw two Quorum Cards.
Those details have been sent to the President.
That brings us to the next phase. CRISIS CARD ! ! !

I can help a lot with this check, but, depending on the President's draw, discarding might be a better option.

Ok, so here are our options:
1. Let Zarek discard. I vote against this option. The discards are random. I'm assuming the President didn't pick up an XO, which means he should have some strong Green cards right now. He's also our best bet for holding an IC.
2. Choose the skill check and deliberately fail it. If anyone has an SP for the die roll, we've a 75% chance of losing nothing.
3. Choose the skill check and go for it. This option wouldn't be cheap; we do, however, have a lot of positive cards.
I vote for option 2 - choose the skill check, fail it, put an SP on the roll. (Though I should ask:
does
anyone have an SP they can play here?)
Finally, we're about to jump. Strap yourselves in! Helo, if we don't make 3 Distance, I make the usual offer for your turn. We're low on ICs again, it would help a lot to draw some more.
One other suggestion: on your turn, it would be a good idea to move yourself somewhere like Command (or the Press Room, if we go 3 Distance and I've been locked up). Sets you up to use XOs as well.
I'm suspicious of this "visitor".
I demand an investigation!
I play a Y4 Investigative Committee (iow I choose option 3).
COs insent. I'm sleeping over at the folks' house tonight so I will be able to check in tomorrow.
