You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh, another question: any cards played for their effect are played face up. What was the value of Helo's SP on the scouting roll?

The jump icon advances us regardless, yes?

And, if we discard we still get +1 food?

If so, I would say discard.

Note: In keeping with my generally being out of it on Caprica, I can't really help with the skill check.

What is the difficulty of this check?

I can help. I would prefer to help rather than just discard, but I can see the arguments for both.

What is the difficulty of this check?

DC 17, highest DC in the deck. Only Red counts negative - all the other colours are positive.

Yes and yes. However, if we discard we lose 1 Morale as well, as the fleet realises that their leadership is just not prepared to take the hard decisions. Or possibly when they realise that the rumours that the ice was composed entirely of gin were just an attempt by Tigh to stop the marines raiding his secret stash.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I have an IC, but if I play it I'll be next to useless in this check.

As it is, I can only help a little. I hate to say it, but I think we're better off intentionally failing the check and take the Morale hit.

Our wings are not tired

I can't help too much with this skill check. I'm leaning towards the discard.

I think that just leaves Pfresident Zarek. If we do go for the check, I'd hope the President can make a decent contribution. He'll be drawing new cards very soon, so he's best able to spend some now.

Something else I've been thinking about. We have six players, so at the Sleeper Phase there'll be a sympathiser. If all our resources are still in the Blue, they'll join the Cylons, and the humans will be pretty much irrevocably boned. We need to get one resource in the red by the Sleeper Phase.

Population's a bad choice, it's hard to manage and we can't raise it again easily if we get into trouble. Fuel is easier to drop, but we could wind up in huge trouble. Food isn't bad, but you need the right Crisis Cards to make it work. Morale's probably the best choice. A lot of Crisis Cards put it at risk, so it's not too hard to get into the red; but it's not as dangerous as Fuel or Population, and there are Quorum cards that can raise it again.

The point of all this is, maybe we should take the discard option to save a bit on cards and start to 'manage' Morale in anticipation of the Sleeper Phase. Thoughts?

So? Is that the "OR" option I hear?
