Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

Omnis - fall through the portal once as a test run, to check orientation. One end of the blue oval will drop you through upside down, the other drops you through right side up. Once you've determined which end of the oval drops you through right side up, sneak up to that edge as close as you can without falling through, then adjust your view so that you are looking straight down at your (invisible) feet. Now step foreward and fall into the portal. When you drop out of the orange portal high on the wall, your portal gun will already be pointed at the floor more or less where you're going to hit it. And by all means, get blue-trigger happy on the way down. It does take a bit to get the hang of it, but once you do, you should be able to master that trick.

Thanks Sean. When this episode of Farscape is done, I'll give it another whirl. Didn't realize that one side of the portal makes you land upside down.

The portal has a top and a bottom, meaning that you keep the same orientation relative to the portal upon exit as you have upon entry. However, as soon as you exit the portal, you reorient to the room - whatever direction gravitational-down is when enter the portal is replaced by the current gravitational-down as you exit the portal.

I love the mind-bendiness of this game.

That's why the portal is ovoid and not circular, so that you can figure out which end is the top and which the bottom. Also, despite the way I worded my first post, it is helpful to always keep in mind that there is only one portal. It just has two sides - the entrance and the exit.

I'm at section 18 (of 19). I want to keep going and finish this test chamber section, alas, I need to go to work. So, I must try and get some sleep. Blargh. Thanks for your help.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

omnis, YouTube videos are good for figuring out puzzles you're stuck on. It's a lot easier to see it than to have someone try and explain it. But once you learn a lot of the tricks, they're applicable to several different puzzles.

Ah good to know. Most of my problems are the button mashing kind. The thing that held me up before was the falling and making portal. It happens quick! Dig this game!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Will anyone help me get out of the brig?

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time to play EVERYBODY'S (especially Pete's) favorite game - British or Gay?

Between this, and a couple of colorful comments on Xbox Live last night, I demand you both meet me on the field of battle, probably Halo 3.

Feel free to bring as many friends as you can muster. I will take you all on.

Or maybe Team Fortress 2... with equal-ish sides.

There's a couple of cracks in Bitches from today too, Pete. Don't have a copy of Halo 3 just yet, but TF2 is definitely possible. Though not right at this exact moment because I kind of have to get ready to go out for work stuff shortly.
