I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

So, MM, how you liking that 360? What've you been playing?

Miracleman - Feb 14, 2010 9:56:37 am PST #5576 of 26134
No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Let's see: Ghostbusters (so much fun! I've been dreaming of this game since 1984!). Beat it.

Mass Effect. Awesome. Beat it once as a "nice guy", going for "asshole".

BioShock. Beat it. Creeped the living fuck out of me, though. Looking forward to BioShock 2.

We also have Rock Band 2, which we've played a couple times. Not much, though.

Borrowed Fable from a friend, but it's for the original Xbox and, as I don't yet have Internet for the 360, I can't get the "upgrade" to play it.

Star Wars Lego II. Annoying. Do not like.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

That's too bad. I enjoy it quite a bit, and it's one of the games we have that I can play with Mattias. (Granted, his idea of playing is jumping up and down for minutes straight, repeatedly leaping to his doom into the random bottomless pits that populate the Star Wars universe and starting fights in the Cantina. But he enjoys it.) It also taught him to "sing" the Star Wars theme, which is an essential skill.

That's not to say there aren't parts that I find annoying, but I find the fun outweighs the annoying bits. And I think Lego Star Wars II is a much more solid game than the original. (Go figure that the game based on the prequels also isn't as good.) I had a bit of a rant a few weeks ago about how poorly-designed and obnoxious the final stage of that game is.

No worries Dad, I got this. I play Red-3. Which should pass us, ya?

Well, it should, but--

Nah. It passes. The fleet advances to 5 Distance!

That concludes Apollo's turn. (Apollo's play brings him back below 10 cards, so he does not have to discard.) Helo, I'm sending you your card draw. When you're ready, please post your move and action.

Cards! I have cards! Mwah-ha-ha-ha-[cough] Um, anyway.

Did you pick up a Repair card, there Apollo?

Edit: Or Admiral? (though I'm guessing your blue card draw was the Scientific Research you played on the last check.)

Did I mention I have a repair card?
