I got my copy in the mail. BG2 stands as pretty much my favorite computer game. I've got it installed on my SSD for speedy loading and have only played it a bit. It feels a bit like BG2 only graphically way updated. I don't have loads of time to play, so I imagine that like BG2, it'll last me a couple of years.
Yeah. I understand that. I never did finish BG1 and it took me well over a year to finish BG2 (and I lost interest somehwere in the middle of Throne of Bhaal). I also have partial game of Knights of the Old Republic sitting on my hard drive somewhere as well. The games are really good, just very time consuming.
I'm just sad that it doesn't appear to be co-op. That's how we played BG/BG2/Icewind Dale - I ran 3 of the characters and the DH ran 3 of the characters.
This led to one of the funniest gaming moments ever, still brings tears to my eyes: My cleric had Blade Barrier up and running during a big fight. DH's fighter got killed. Cleric hit him with Resurrection...which brought him back to life right next to her. With 1 hit point.
DH is yelling "No! DON'T---!!" and then, well, we imagine the blade barrier must've made a sound like a woodchipper as it hit the freshly-animated fighter and chunked him into a million bits. The character portrait disappeared, no way to ever bring him back.
The fighter's last thought was clearly "I hate you."
My Brute: Just when ya think she is about to move on to the next round in the competition, the Pron God rally's back:

Yeah, that's too bad.

Clearly.
I haven't played much yet, but it does play a lot like BG2, especially when zooming out to overhead view to manage tactics during a battle.
I still haven't put away BSG board game. Partly because work is still slamming me (even thou the show is open...grumble), partly because I wanna play again. Did we consense on when folks schedules would permit another attempt for the humans to win? (of course, with my luck, the game humans win, would be the game I'm a cylon).

Not really. The only discussion was that I can't run another game until after November, and no one else has the wherewithal to do so.
omnis! You should run the next game!
My stress level for work is level 9. And we are about to strike one show and load in the next. Having never GMd before, I think it's best if I say no.
Also, you might have trouble with that XO rule...

Embrace the pain!

To be fair, I would like to think that he would be less likely to XO Cylons as the GM.
Alternatively, Pete, you could run it.
